Fur Affinity. The life of a smut artist is pretty annoying unless you're a degenerate like your clients will be. If that image is your work you will get hits pretty easily. The bar isn't that high.

>left arm
If she tried bending her arm further, the compressed fat would break her elbow
>have to stop school to get good
>have to get good to stop school
Just drop out
Sacrifices have to be made.
Also, you have those two wrong. You don't have to stop school to get good at all nor do you have to get good to stop school.

What do the users of /ic/ think of Aaron Blaise and his YouTube channel?
he's a nice grandpa with good animation skills who found his niche. I am sure his animation classes are fine, as he has a lot of experience and there is a lot of free stuff on his youtube channel, so you might check it out.
the way he's using opening every function with a menu and not keyshorts make my eyes rolling, but the videos are soothing.
also his animation class ads are on every animation related website, that kind off kills my desire to attempt them classes. it feels like he's only in for the money, but that's ok, because this guy got a business to run.
i wish him all the best
Are videos even aloud here?
Hey! I've recently made my first video, it's a music video. I've used data-bending so it's more than just some shots. But, so fare, everyone just says; hey well done looks great, etc.
But i NEED some real criticism!!
What did you like and what not? What do you think would make this better?
Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akjh4upkSiw

Try applying more vibrant datamoshing. What programs did you use?
Plato says "Fuck photo realism!"
How does this make you feel?
>>2667487
he's right
Plato was salty that he couldn't draw. This is a big trend amongst philosophers.
How local Romantic painter from Anonymous Proxy discovered ONE WEIRD TRICK to paint more realistically!
Philosophers hates him!
>most art classes are majority female
>all women artists are bad to mediocre
Explain this, without recourse to white knighting logical fallacies.
you go to art college to make fuck with those women
then self teach art at home
why do you think all the good teachers are online and occasional workshops only?
>>2671037
school is not a good place to learn art
I find my head tilts a bit, so my lines come out slightly to one side, what do you do anons?
>>2670649
After i draw and inevitably fall short of my goals i drink a whole bottle of wine and punch myself in the head until im exhausted and then cry myself to sleep haha xD

I am a beginner. I thought using the grid method would make it flawless, but it's obviously off. How do I fix/avoid these mistakes? And can someone please point out the mistakes?
If I keep practising using the grid method will my skills improve or is it like cheating and makes the improvement slower?
>>2668154
Wont get you anywhere.
Sensible option would be to start learning to draw cubes and circles and cylinders and how to shape them and then get into learning to properly draw using construction.
Because shortcuts will not lead you anywhere.

Art fuckup:
>Inking a sketch
>"Fuck yes. It's almost over"
>Dip the nib too fucking much without noticing
>Start a new line
>Notice the big ass fucking drop at the beginning of the line.
>Oh, shit.
>"No worries, mate. Roll the paper towels over it"
>Take the paper towels and roll 'em.
>Have a retarded outburst
>Roll them again, backwards.
>Ink smears fucking everywhere.

Best type of gouache paint?
image: first painting I tried with cheap $4 gouache paint from Michael's. Any advice or techniques would be appreciated.
bump?
>>2670205
Finding good advice on gouache painting is somewhat difficult, maybe because most illustrators work digitally these days and it's not popular among fine artists either.
wetcanvas has some threads about gouache, from what I remember most people either recommended Winsor&Newton's gouache or Schmincke Horadam (or making your own).
James Gurney uses gouache quite a bit on his youtube channel:

Watts Atelier has some videos about it as well:

That's a good first attempt op. I can't really help but I like it.
Did the Romans "Make it"?
No.
Their sculptors did.
>>2669673
Their painters probably did too. All contemporary accounts basically praise their painting more than their sculptures, it's just we don't have much that survived in terms of paintings, or the ones we have are shit like encaustics which are basically impossible to use well.
can some of you define art (for a mindmap)
expression
aesthetic
conceptual
visual
definition
representation
Perception
>expression of ideas through a creative medium
>anything pleasing to the senses
What do you do if you have no visual library?
I have none of what Feng Zhu says you need for a visual library. I also studied mathematics most of my time in the past 14 years, I am 28(studied maths at university).
Is it hopeless if you are 28, never been abroad, do not read non fiction or non mathematics books, do not go out at all and do not like going to museums.
Also, like how the hell would I even get the time to go out to museums and or travel abroad if I need to grind fundamentals for a year or two years?
This has worried me for the past three weeks. Maybe, I could treat mathematics like the study of logic and read a non fiction like I would a mathematics book.
If you have no visual library, that would be very weird considering that's impossible. I think you misunderstood his video. A visual library is everything you know visually. Like he used the castle example of how you might think of a crazy fantasy castle or a boxy simple castle. You have a visual library for animals too.
Anyways, Feng literally tells you how to build your visual library. I don't get why you're asking this, but just draw from life is how you build your visual library. It's the most straightforward way, there's other methods, but it'll just confuse you.

I think I have aphantasia where if I try to imagine anything no pictures will form.
I mean like if I read a book no pictures would appear, hence why I do not read non fiction. Instead all I see is the plot holes and logical problems with the book.

What drives a person with no creativity, no imagination and apprently no interest in fiction and art to become an artist?
