i think it's been a decade since someone used bevel and emboss on their logo. it could look way better using a "hand brush" font.

OP here,
I was wondering about the edges, they aren't straight and I was wondering how to do it since I was planning to re-do the lettering with shapes. The font is Block Berthold Condensed if anyone was wondering. All i needed to do was slightly blur it.

This is something your tattoo artist have to do. Find a good artist in your area, write them a mail and they'll help you. Look into the working ethics of tattooing before getting a tattoo.

So you've got a portfolio. Look for local design companies and send them it saying you're looking for work. I know people who have had success this way as opposed to just applying for jobs, you should do both though.

if you want critique you need to communicate what the piece is meant to be.
a logo?

i would say its okay and kind of unique. the colors in bomb are somewhat too ugly.
try some more desaturated colors like in the F and U

This hatching is meh. If you are using it to add shadows, why don't you use darker shades like on some other spots ? You should remove it.
