Buy a new one, they're $2. If you don't already know how to do these things you will probably end up with degraded sound.

Did I goof?
>Want free SSL for website
>Hosting makes you pay for key and install
>Go to 3rd party site for free SSL
>Got RSA and CSR from different site than hosting
>Put those into another site (lets call it site B)
>Get SSL
>Don't have RSA or CSR (obviously) from site B
>need these to install

I have an SSL certificate, however, since I don't have the RSA and CSR generated from hosting, I can't install in on my host website. Is there any way I could get another certificate?

My i7-6850K supports RAM speeds of 2400Mhz, but my motherboard will support faster speeds. If I buy the fastest RAM the mobo will support (3333mhz), it will automatically underclock the RAM to 2400 right?

From what I've read I can make the RAM run as fast as it can and the mobo allows, but that would make the CPU unstable, so I won't do it, but it would be nice to be prepared in-case I decide to replace my CPU later on

What would you do /g/?

also I noticed on the motherboard specification page that anything above 2400 is considered overclocking.. is this normal?

>>
>>55786216
CPU will be fine, buy the 3333 and ignore any place that tells you that an i7 can't run stable with faster RAM.
If the RAM was sold as 3333mhz it's not overclocking to run it at that speed, stop listening to silly manuals and use common sense 2017.

I was in the market for a Chromcast, which usually runs about $35 + Tax. But I was told that a cheap $30 chinese android TV box can accomplish the same thing with added features, such as having its own native apps, Kodi support, android app store support, ect. Does anyone here have any experience with these cheapo $30 android TV boxes from China? Is casting as seamless as it is with Chromecast? Is the GUI slow?

My parents have an amazon fire stick and i hate that thing because it has built in app support. Id much rather cast direct from an app on my phone or computer instead of navigating a clunky menu on the device itself. Also I don't use kodi but I'm pretty sure you can cast no problem to a chromecast
>>
>>55786188

I have one right now.
Pretty neat, does the job.

Kodi support is all I wanted, but you have Skype and all the android shit support.

I know this is a terrible place to ask but, have any of you figured out what port 6000(X11) does on Samsung SmartTVs? I've port scanned mine to find that port open but have had no luck finding any answers as to why it's there and what it does.

I tried to mess with my Samsung Smart TV too, and no luck, just a port that was left open...
>>
>>55786177
It would be cool to at least get a tunneled X11 Application to run from the TV, oh well, guess it was a port they forgot to close from when they were debugging the software as I'm sure the whole SmartTV interface runs on X11

Reddit just announced a plan to allow companies to sponsor posts made by users as a form of advertisement, reddit will then make these posts more visible to users.

With how the web is slowly being condensed into a small amount of large websites and with sites like reddit eating up smaller forums this concerns everyone. Will the future of the internet involve being so completely surrounded by shills and advertiser promoted posts that it becomes impossible to know if you're getting good information?

What does /g/ think of standing desks? About to pull the trigger on a 72" Bamboo UPLIFT desk.

I don't have a standing desk, but I do have a tall standing desk with four foldable arms I got for free from the local mall. It could be used as a standing desk or I could put a stationary bike at it.

Really looking to get a new desk though, something with drawers. I seen some used ones I can resurface and make look practically new.

Now, hang on, that looks cool, but don't you need at least two surfaces with adjustable heights?

Hey /g/

I installed what's called Virtual Audio Cable for SDR trunking , so I could route in this roundabout way, a signal to decode without having to hear it - into another decoder to decrypt the trunking (wireless comm for my city) etc etc, so I created originally two "virtual cables".. Problem is I'm noticing now even with the cables all disabled under playback/recording devices, I'm getting crackly sound when watching youtube videos. Could that just be flash, and I should switch to html5? I'm a bit confused too as to where I shold set my sample rate - like what in khz sholdd the sample rate be, and 16 or 24 bit? I think VAC fucked with my sound card and made it get stuck in some over expanded way, so maybe I should just reinstall the driver?

Sorry for another tech support question on this board but if anyone has ideas, thanks. My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad T420

Ok. Buyfags? lol.. do you build your own laptop or are you referring to my OS use? Linux just does not cut it for professional musicians such as myself.. sorry but that's a matter of fact.
>>
DSD+ requires 16 bit 48 kHz input. VAC has nothing to do with the Windows sound subsystem and by itself will not cause any issues like what you're describing. You either have some defective hardware or your cables aren't good enough (possibly defective with shorts).
