Why aren't you using selfrando to make your GNU/Linux system 500% more secure?
https://github.com/immunant/selfrando
1) fine-grained randomization often causes a severe performance overhead
2) fine-grained randomization can still be defeated using side channels in some situations (upcoming black hat talk)
3) ASLR has enough randomization for non-side channel attacks

I'm too dumb to understand.
What is this?
>>55932600
I have a TPM in my ThinkPad.
Why should I care?
Hello Beautiful
>>55932575
Hopefully this time it'll actually be better than the ti.
>>55932575
Still a waste compared to 1080 in SLI which is only $200 more expensive and shits all over a single Titan.

At least you're not as retarded as the other ones suggesting coupling two low-end GPUs.
>find office 2007 disc with key
>have new laptop with no disc drive

>surrender my laptop to surinder
>he tries what didn't work
>nothing
>after 2 hours of nothing he starts downloading office 2010
>see he copies a random serial to the installer
>take screenshot
>hours later he finishes installing office 10
Did this guy just give me a free new office serial that I can use? Or you think it's one off use only?
Also, happy ending tech support stories
Why didn't you just get LibreOffice or OpenOffice, instead of a 9 year old product (which was upgraded to a 6 year old product)?
If you had the cd and key, why not pirate the goddamned isos and be on your way? Kill yourself newfriend
Looks like one of my Fallout settlements.
Is it a meme?
Or is it actually a quality language
worth learning?
You can polish a turd but it’s still a turd.
If you want a job in the industry, yeah

would you say it's the leading language in

I don't think anyone other than you is that autistic here.

What's the truth on Java, /g/?
I've heard some people say that you should completely uninstall it in 2016, that it is a common entryway for exploits and malicious programs. But I'm not sure about this. Some things require it, so out of convenience I've left it uninstalled but I can't help but be mistrustful towards it for what I hear and some experiences in the past.
What's the skinny, huh?
It's the same as with toolbars on a browser. Don't click stupid shit and understand when it might be necessary to look up at the address bar to make sure you're on the right webpage. Also, maybe get some add ons for your browser to prevent javascript from running unwanted scripts without you knowing. Even one click is enough to get some kind of file overwritten in some random folder and then all that needs to happen is for your environment to be run and bam, you just got fisted by a hacker.
>>55932263
Java is NOT Javascript.
>>55932236
left it installed* not uninstalled
So, I have the pic related setup.
I'm connecting the TV to the amplifier using the speaker signals, NOT the p2 signal.
But I get this weird noise, almost as if it was wheezing.
I suppose this is caused by the wires acting as an anthena?
If it is that, can it be fixed?
Try twisting the wires together into a bunch of small loops
>>55932193
Impedance and signal level mismatch, why are you not using the correct output?
>>55932341
Correct output? You mean the P2 out? Well, one of the channels is bust.

Which one?
Acer Predator 24" 1920x1080 XB270HU
Pros
>Has G-sync (I have an nVidia card)
>Better constrast ratio 100m:1 (dunno if this is even noticable)
Cons
>Glossy plastic bezel and stand
>More expensive than
ASUS 24" 1920x1080 MG248Q
Pros
>Cheaper than theAcer monitor
>Matte plastic finish
Cons
>Has FreeSync
>80m:1 contrast ratio
I plan on using it mostly for gaming: mostly Overwatch and MMOs.

Hey, /g/
Can you crack handshake.cap files? I tried many wordlists with aircrack-ng and I'm running some atm but they need days to get finished. My CPU tries 3000 Keys/s. Any tips?
.cap file: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=08370241902985025341
>>55931958
Bruting takes time anon and there is no guarantee you can crack it, If the key is alphanumeric you'll never crack it unless you can borrow the NSAs quantum computer.
I just tried this on my wifi the other week out of curiosity. It was about the same speed on my thinkpad, ~2800 keys/sec. Of course I knew the password and greped the word list and knew it wouldn't find it so I didn't actually run the whole thing. Would have taken at least a full 24 hours.
If you want to really get in try a dictionary+brute attack. Not sure if aircrack suite can do this and haven't ever tried myself but there should be a decent rule list somewhere.
My buddies wifi password is weak (downwithopp) and even that will not be found in any wordlist I know.
Good fun though
>>55932234
I thought so. But I cracked one password pretty fast with a wordlist. Okay, the password was weak, but now I am addicted. I heard about hashcat. (I have no idea what that is, should I think about learning to use it?)
How many digits have numeric router passwords by default? I'm trying all 8 digit number combinations atm.
Postman just brought this, I wonder what it could be??
