So, I have the pic related setup.
I'm connecting the TV to the amplifier using the speaker signals, NOT the p2 signal.
But I get this weird noise, almost as if it was wheezing.
I suppose this is caused by the wires acting as an anthena?
If it is that, can it be fixed?
>>
Try twisting the wires together into a bunch of small loops
>>
>>55932193
Impedance and signal level mismatch, why are you not using the correct output?
>>
>>55932341
Correct output? You mean the P2 out? Well, one of the channels is bust.

Headphone out to line in on amp? Still preferable.
>>
>>55932389
My Tv doesn't let me choose mono sound, so I end up losing all of the action on the right channel.

Ok, check this thread, note the amazon links I think that could ameliorate your problem.

I wonder what 'high in' is
>>
>>55932193
Probably not enough shielding, or you are using too thin wires over a long distance

I wonder how those outputs are wired.
>>
>>55933359
I know it looks like a mess.
I'm using an ATX PSU to power the amp.
I've got only one speaker, so I've bridged it.
>>
>>55932893
Wtf, you didn't even hook up the positives and negatives?
>>
>>55933395
i did. look again
>>
>>55933415
Just hook up one output and send only mono signals to it.

Also dont be surprised you get so much noise with this setup, I'm surprised your house hasn't burned down

>Just hook up one output and send only mono signals to it.
The speakers are bridged. I have no way of sending mono signals to the amp.
>>
>>55933459
*speaker

there's only one speaker

You are hearing the difference between the left and right channels, this is not what you want.
>>
>>55933500
How can I transform this thing into mono?

Take the left and right output you have and feed them together to one (left or right) channel of your amp. Then wire the speaker to the + and - of that channels output. Not by the book but should work.

>Take the left and right output you have and feed them together
Uhm... Is this safe?
Connecting the L+ and R+ together?

You can buy stereo to mono cables that do this, it is not ideal but in no way dangerous.
>>
>>55933649
i'm autistic so i cant go outside
>>
>>55933914
Sorry: my point is: just google stereo to mono cable and you'll see my suggestion is quite a common thing. Feel free to just twist the wires together though, no need going outside.
