>find office 2007 disc with key
>have new laptop with no disc drive
>try to download disc-less version from office site
>doesn't work
>contact office support
>tells me to do what I've already tried
>nothing
>surrender my laptop to surinder
>he tries what didn't work
>nothing
>after 2 hours of nothing he starts downloading office 2010
>see he copies a random serial to the installer
>take screenshot
>hours later he finishes installing office 10
Did this guy just give me a free new office serial that I can use? Or you think it's one off use only?
Also, happy ending tech support stories
Why didn't you just get LibreOffice or OpenOffice, instead of a 9 year old product (which was upgraded to a 6 year old product)?
If you had the cd and key, why not pirate the goddamned isos and be on your way? Kill yourself newfriend
Looks like one of my Fallout settlements.

I'm going to say Google doc is so much better than libre and open office, those damn docx file formatting never ever being fix since beginning of version 1.

Just torrent it and crack it.

>Make a document or presentation in LO
>Send it to an MS office user
>Formatting is all fucked up. Themes don't work. Font is wrong. Generally looks like shit.
>switch back to MS office

LibreOffice is half-way decent maybe, but nothing beats Office 2010.

>not using PDF
That's just bad practice, Anon.
>>55933915
I may not know what beats Office 2010 but I do know what wants to beat you.

Google Docs has a lot of problems keeping formatting.
I can save something in LibreOffce as .docx and it works fine in Word, but if I copy and paste something from Google Docs, it might break.
LaTeX > Microsoft Office > LibreOffice > Google Docs
The only good Office program is excel desu
>>55934292
Microsoft works very hard to keep it that way.
