What do you need in your life? Fast, flexible media streaming? Make a Plex server. Have a family on Windows that should be monitored/controlled? SAMBA AD/DC. Want a cool sekrit place to chat with friends? IRC server, or Matrix-chat server. Want to download shit and give back? Seedbox. Want to protect yourself when you are out on the prowl? OpenVPN server. Want to share your shitty ideas with the world? Apache2 web server.

There are really a lot of possibilities. Either way, slap ESXI or Xen on there and play around with virtualisation, as it will make life easier in the future, and is a good skillset.

DHT sniffing is easy with node, but I'm not sure if there's a way to do torrent metadata downloading yet

DHT is pretty much useless without it unless you use a service like torrage or torcache to get the data, which probably won't be there for a majority of torrents

Just recently bought a new harddrive as a back up for all my other drives. Stupid question: what happens to the files in the back up drive if I change the originals in original drive? Would back up drive know just to update those particular files? Thank you.
