I have a raspberry pi that I do nothing with. Is it possible to use it to 24/7 spoof my location so I can pirate shit without having to ever worry?
Carry it around with you and if anyone recognizes you on the ships you're boarding, throw it at them until they're dead.

>spoof my location
I think pokemon go went to far
How does this work? I heard that it replaces the linux syscalls with the NT kernel ones, I also heard it runs Ubuntu parallel to windows (Like VM, but not).
Which way is it?
>>55979546
It's reverse WINE
It's their own Cygwin implementation basically.
No X11 yet, so while it is very useful, it could be improved.
>>55979578
Huh, that's cool. Thanks
Hello /gee/,
What will yield better performance when playing muh gaimz?
Running the game on wine or emulating win7 and installing the game on a VM.
Running mint and win10 dual boot currently and wanted to save me rebooting to switch between OS.
Shameless self bamp
Wine by a long shot, unless you do something exotic like KVM passthrough for the GPU (and then it's not really emulation anymore)
>>55979358
1. Run natively on Windows
2. VM with dedicated GPU for passthrough
3. Low-end shit in Wine
Basically, if you want to play games run Windows natively or as close to that as you can get.
Is there any device with a button I can press to call the police and alert them of my location? If I ever get raped or my "friends" ever try to rape someone, I want to report it ASAP but I'm scared to pick up and dial 911 + talk. I need a button that's impossible to "accidentally press" for emergency... and some pepper spray.
>>55978944
There are some places where they support 911 via SMS. Check if your local dispatch has that ability.
Relax, ugly people don't get raped. A dick will never come near you.
>>55979047
But attractive people do get raped. And it's always brutal torture and murder, just go on google news right now and type in "man raped"...
What's a safe voltage I can run a i5 4670k on, to keep it at 4.2 GHz?
First time oc'ing
Try from 1.20 to 1.25, mine around 4.1ghz worked even under 1.2v. You can go over that anyway but you need a really good cooling system when you approach 1.3v
>>55979634
Fuck, the mobo i bought ( a used z87) came with 1.9v IIRC.
I really have to take a look into those.
I'm using a cooler master 212x, it's keeping somewhere around 45° on 4Ghz while gaming.
>>55980584
Intel says it can work fine at 70 C, I'd stay about 60 to 65 as maximum to be safe. Mine is pretty shit I can get in to 4.3 Ghz no problem but if I want to put it to 4.4 I've to go over 1.3v. On average you should get 4.4 with reasonable voltages. Anyway while you test for stability put the voltage fixed because there are some stress test that overvolt when the processor use type of instructions, when you are sure that you're stable switch to adaptive voltage to save power
Question - How does videogame DRM work in detail?
As much as I managed to find on the internet its that games exe has a hash that it validates to a server, if it checks out a handshake is made and you can play on the official server, it the hash is wrong server tells you to fuck off.
So to crack a game i have to decompile the exe, delete the request or change the response to always true, compile the exe and play, But it will only work for offline as the hash has changed.
Anyone can elaborate on the topic?
What windows bit locker does to the hdd, denuvo does to the exe file. You can't decompile it. Exe gets run it asks for key to server by sending hash, if hash is true server responds with key which then allows file to be readed.
Salted hash dude
>>55978376
You could mod the game so it'd always send a preconfigured value as the hash. It had to be done on the client so there's always a way.
But that function might be obfuscated.
is my gpu dead? my pc crashed and after reboot pic related. without gpu normal boot and with other gpu as well. gpu is r9 380 msi 4gb
Go to /sqt/ anon
>>55978104
Yep, it's dead.
Now take it apart, wrap it into a tinfoil and put into an over at 210C for 15 minutes.
Then sell it to some gullible fool.

i was talking about the on board chip set could you give a rateing from 1 to 10. I keep hearing that you really dont need a sound card nowadays.
And will i be able to get that 7.1 surround sound plus the dsp sound card built in?.

Could ARMchips become a new meme on laptops/desktops ?
Do you think they could be good for the free software movement ?
As far as I know ARM is not really supporting free software, is it true ?
>>55977406
ARM on desktops won't happen until there is actual desktop software written for them. ChromeOS supporting Android might help speed this along. But it will still take years before apps are as useable with a keyboard and mouse as they are with a touchscreen.
>>55977510
Well most GNU/Linux distros already support arm
Last Windows I really used was XP and I decided it was time to check out the current offerings from Microsoft so I set up a W10 VM with QEMU.
You're doing great Microsoft!
>first start was pretty smooth
>memory compression
>Linux subsystem for Windows
>you can disable IE11 and windows media player
>nice menu for preferred applications
>pinning programs to taskbar
>left, right maximization
I guess they will never change Windows.
>all programs still seem to have their own update management
>all the guides to do x are screencaps of nested menus, no CLI option
>no stackoverflow -like Q&A site for user problems, just random formus with unhelpful answers
Seriously, Microsoft?
>would you like to send all the data to Microsoft? yes [], i guess so [ ], no but really yes after update [ ]
>would you like to join Windows update swarm as a peer?
>Windows store doesn't have any software I'd like to install
>settings AND control panel
>changing screen resolution is under advanced options
No way I'm letting this on ring -1 but in a VM it seems ok. I was planning on setting up a GPU passthrough but I'm not quite there yet. Any cool features I should check out on the Windows 10 that I've missed?
Appearently people are having trouble with it freezing after the anniversary update anon.
no way im ditching xp (posready 2009) after 15 years if it's still supported, i know this baby inside and out
what is this?
Definitely an irrelevant phone specs wise, but as people brag with iPhone as a "status" then is this the true business level?

It's basically a Wealth Badge with yearly upkeep.
Although it's version of Siri or Cortana is a flesh and blood human being on call 24/7, so there's that.
>runs on Android
no thanks

It's supposedly the only botnet-free phone out there. Also the secretary function is god tier, they really do a lot.
Can we make this shit but only related to technology? Maybe silicon pill. Or... 01010 pill.
