Why do people feel that 720p on a 5-5.5" phone is bad?
>mobile VR
Because you can tell the difference between that 1080p and 1440p at those screen sizes. If people couldn't then nobody would be buying phones with 1440p displays.
Also what's wrong with VR? Modern phones are actually pretty capable of providing decent graphics for VR like the Note 7.
>>56011561
>1080p and 1440p
lol, anything under 2600p looks like shit
>>56011526
I'd say at that size 1080p is reasonable, you can see a difference at normal viewing distances. With 1440p on the other hand you really need to move unnaturally close to the display to see the difference. At that point it's just pointless spec sheet bullshit.

Pick one fagget.
Hey /g/uys whatsup?
Im sure this is the most relevant place to ask, and i know you are all godly wizardmen, so please, treat my anus gently.
First, let me start this off by saying i have no foreknowledge of any technical computer aspects, no computer programming, security, hardware, nothing whatsoever. Im as stupid as your average consumer when it comes to technology. (Not stupid enough to use apple products, though)
HOWEVER, i want to go into cyber security as a career, and i would not mind being adept in the various programming languages and tools, (C++, java, python, all that good shit)
As someone who is so inept, where do i begin my journey in becoming a computer whiz?
Also other statements i'd like to make.
>My school cyber security teacher said you don't need any prior programming knowledge to become a good cyber security specialist
>i am 19, just graduated highschool
>My main goal is to do cyber security for the army
>Does being a computer require you to be good at math?
>Im shit-tier at math and am not good at math beyond 9th grade pre-algebra and other basic math
>>56011084
>My main goal is to do cyber security for the army
Whew, for a moment there I thought you were actually serious.
Lol kys
You can start by installing Gentoo.

If people donate carefully to one that deserves it, its fine, the idiots will stop getting money and the money income will dry up.
>Have you contributed to open source?
Yes I have. Fedora, Plasma, Notepad++ and Emacs.
>Why?
I want to make them work like I want.
>Have you emailed rms?
Yes I have. He replied.
>Have you emailed any other oss-hacker?
Yes I have. They all reply.

Yes, to Linux

Because

>Have you emailed any other oss-hacker?
Yes, when I submitted the patch to Linux
>Do you consider yourself a hacker?
No
>Have you contributed to open source?
Yes, but just a couple small ones.
>Why?
I like to help free (libre) projects.
>Have you emailed rms?
I wanted his opinion on a certain edge case on freedom. I got schooled.
>Have you emailed any other oss-hacker?
No.
>Do you consider yourself a hacker?
No.
>>56010904
>Have you contributed to open source?
No
>Why?
Because I don't know how, I don't know what programming languages to learn or where to begin.
>Have you emailed RMS?
No, he's scary
>Have you emailed any other oss-hackers?
No, that's scary, too.

a.k.a "I am unable to form my own opinions"
Mind sharing your opinion on this one /g/?
I'm on a budget and was recommended this set.
What do you think? Did I fucked up?
It should be a decent gaming PC . It's prebuilt and the cpu being used is a lower end i5 that is very uncommon . It shouldn't be a huge issue .
You have a computer

How does /g/ handle their external cable management?
A desk with a backplate on the legs. Then use double sided tape to secure a power strip and any other hardware as well along with mountable cable holders/clips of some kind. For long runs use that spiraled plastic cable wrap stuff.
>>56010563
Oh, and wire ties because they work as well as zip ties but are easier to adjust and reuse.
>>56010242
I don't.
