What theme are you using?

Phone booth

Tapes. Kinda slow if you load big programs, but not so bad for smaller ones like this 1 KB game:

Granted you can't put much in 1024 bytes, but that's all a stock ZX-81 had anyway. Even the VIC-20 only had 5 KB, but you can actually make pretty cool stuff with that, and the loading times are still ok.
Pic is Matra Alice (rebranded Tandy MC-10) that had 8 KB, so tapes made sense there too.

Great for making mix tapes from radio songs or various other tapes, or anything else really. I even recorded some of my favorite movies audio tracks to tape so I had something to listen to. And unlike CDs, they don't skip when you hit a bump in the road or whatever. And they're more resilient too. Plus the small form factor and case design is just fucking cool.
