PHP - pajeet tier API
TypeScript - pajeet tier Web Apps
Pajeet languages - obvious

Yes, I'm a web dev

Alright:
>C
When I need to use POSIX API for some reason and also, for some reason, I can't use C++, which I find superior to C in every way (bloat is not an argument if you're not autistic).
>C++
For fun (some games) and CUDA. Also that Arduino variant for Arduino.
>C#
For desktop applications and anything that needs a database (Entity is goat).
>Typescript/Javascript
When I want to feel like Pajeet.
>Java
Android stuff and also fun (games when I can't be bothered to use C++).
>Matlab
When I want to pretend that I'm doing something smart.
>Python
Same as above, but I haven't done much with it, so saying I know it is a bit of a stretch.
>SQL
When I have to do anything with databases and can't just use C# with LINQ (at work).
>Bash
If that counts as a language.

C - for Linux stuff
C++ - for Image processing stuff
Python, Go - for work
Haskell - for fun
VHDL - never again
Java - what am I, a pajeet?

Hey /g/
Finally caved and bought the Lenovo P50 with all its available bells and whistles. What should I expect from the NVIDIA Q M2002M graphics card paired with a 4k screen?

Also generic lenovo thread

Op here, I should mention it hasn't shipped yet.
>>
>>56008993
Dear op i hope you got the xeon or 6700hq or higher model not that shitty 's' ending model.
Your quadro will perform better in photoshop/rendering than in games compared to gaming graphics card.
Maybe it is 20% slow that gtx960m in games , but in other software it should get a higher fps.

I did say all the bells and whistles, but no I actually wanted it for games so I got it with the i7 because I hate myself.

Tried googling, couldn't find anything because queries were loaded with shilling.

Basically, if I have a dual-boot setup with opensuse/gnu-linux on one partition, and windows 10 on the other, would windows 10 be able to access the linux partition for its data mining/spying/etc or is it secure?

And if it is secure, why all the autism about choosing linux over gaming, when you can have both on one machine?

Yes. Yes it can.
>>
>>56008899
Not if it's encrypted.
>>
>>56008899
that's pretty gay desu

is there anyway to encrypt or secure the other partition to disable the mining?

I've got a HP EliteBook 2560p
When using Windows 7 + 10 it has no sound through internal speakers or headphones.
Installed all the newest drivers.
Didn't work.
Any ideas /g/

Did you try the realtek drivers?

Try the AC'97 and then the High Def drivers, see if that makes a difference

Go to their site, and hit the downloads tab
>>
>>56008902
I did try those all I got was squeaky noises via headphones jack
>>
>>56008928
Have you maybe tried a live version of Linux? Do you get the same issue with that?

Proton Mail. You can get the free version of it and send/receive 500 emails. Its based in Switzerland and they have some of the most secure internet infrastructure and internet privacy laws in the world there.

Only bad thing is, is that its browser access only. You can't access it via outlook, thunderbird, k-9, etc

https://protonmail.com/
>>
>>56008869 This shit do not support pgp so it cant be considered secure at all.
>>
>>56008869

Tutanota is same shit but much better.
Cheaper, easier to set shit up and doesnt force you to use Google services.

This is going to sound stupid...

I have a throwaway email and use Chrome for porn and 4chan. I use Firefox for school and work. I want to use Chrome as my main browser now with the multiple user thing.

Will auto-complete ever show anything on the other account? Will history or downloads? I just don't want to be working on a project ir giving a presentation and my classmates see my degeneracy...

>Will auto-complete ever show anything on the other account?

No.

Google will most likely know that the 2 accounts belong to the same user though, but since your main concern here is not privacy from google you are fine.
>>
>>56008772
Oh snap
>>
>>56008684
Auto complete on url bar is going to show other account's search history.
I just tried that on my Chrome and my two accounts.

What's your excuse for not using Edge-san?
36 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>56008628
I use it as my main browser, with Ublock Edge it does basically all what I used Chrome for, with much better hardware acceleration.

4K 30fps youtube videos without touching the CPU unlike Chrome which uses 50%+ of my xeon 1231 V3

Because I've used Firefox for almost as long as I've had internet access and I'm a stubborn piece of shit.

This is a gentle reminder, to run your Summer Defragment on your SSD drive (if you haven't done so already) to keep it's performance in tip-top shape.

You're welcome!

i didn't think anyone on /g/ was stupid enough to think they needed to defrag an SSD, but good luck OP

does this annihilate the ssd or just wears it down

It's not our problem if you don't want your computer running at peak performance.

You probably think there's no difference between a fedora and a trilby either you stupid fucking normie
>>
why do retarded people act like there's a difference between different kinds of retardation? it's basically all the same, isn't it OP? like you don't quibble over whether you're low functioning autistic or have down syndrome.

i propose an overarching term to cover everyone like OP: "shitforbrains". it rolls off the tongue and its etymology is appropriate - "shit for brains" aptly describes whatever myriad disorders the OP might have.

Libre refere to liberty while gratis means free in the sense of pricing

Hey /g/, I have a vps service which was costing me about $6 a year ad minivps.us , problem is they occasionally go dark for weeks at a time, too damn cheap.

What are some decent cheap vps's out there I could use? Most of my searches have been over $5 a month.

Ramnode has a $15/y VPS. Had one for about 2 years. Warning though, 128MB ram, no ability to set any more SWAP and they autokill any CPU intensive processes.

Also used it as a seedbox for a while and they autokill the rtorrent process but you can just rename it to avoid that.
>>
>>56008204
Thanks, probably a little more expensive than I need, all I want is something to host a mostly static website on.

The most intensive work my old vps did was running the auto update with letsencrypt.
