android has a ton of hardware and its harder to optimize to it
Oems fuck people over and dont give updates, even if they do many times they are much much worse than the stock rom
Android needs factory reset at least twice a year or it becomes a sluggish piece of shit
Many cm roms are badly made shit which takes away more usefulness than it gives

Android is comfier tho and can make it better and nicer looking, customize as you want and have more useful apps

For me android devices and nexus devices are different things. And nexus devices are the best. You can leave it stock if u are a casual or tweak it if you are pro
