What the h*ck even is C++, you can't even make a fr*cken tic tac toe game in it properly.
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>57731936
Yeah it's so bad that all AAA games are written in it.

Also the browser you're using to shitpost this was also written in it.
>>
>>57731954
That may be true, but it can't even be used to program a simple tic tac toe game. What a joke.
>>
>>57731977
Yeah it's good enough for Grand Theft Auto 5 but not good enough for a tic tac toe game.

You're the joke here mate!

Stick to HTML/CSS it's more your league.

Why is it considered a meme distro?
31 posts and 4 images submitted.

Because some people actually need to get work done. As nice as having the latest packages is for development, some people just don't want to run the risk of breaking their system whenever there's a major update. The whole Cinnamon DE broke during one of the GNOME releases.
>>
>>57731654
Because deferring updates for more than 2 weeks bricks the whole fucking thing

Also used mainly by skids

Did I make a mistake by switching to Information Systems from Computer Science?

I failed Calc 1 twice and switched over. I made all A's in my CS classes, but I hadn't taken the weed out data structures class.

What is /g/cs opinion of IS in general?
22 posts and 0 images submitted.
>>
If you failed Calc 1 twice I highly doubt you'd be able to pass Calc 2, and you'd have a lot of trouble in the other math classes anyway
>>
>>57732459
This, Calc 1 is a joke, so is Calc 2 until you get to series
>>
>failing Calc1 twice
You should just drop out. You need math for programming. If you can't even pass calc 1, you'll waste your money/time.

Either man up and actually study or get back to minimum wage.

If someone shit in a 2000 liter container of peanut butter would you eat it?
>But it's 99.99% peanut butter, you won't notice the 0.01% shit in there.

Flac is lossless, storage sizes back in 2004 was enough, and if you don't have enough 12 years later something is wrong with you.

/g/ help me
I have 2 routers
Router A is connected to ISP and has 2 ports ,a Giga one which i connect straight to my PC and a 10/100 one connected to the wan port of router B in my other port and from that router to a PC.
The thing is that only the PC connected to the giga one has internet .
If i connect the router B to the giga port of router A then the PC connected true the router B has internet but the other one doesnt.
I tried connecting the second PC directly to mega port of router A and give it a manual IP address in the router A LAN and i was able to ping router A but nothing else.

I am getting a new HDD that is the same size as my old HDD since my current one is swiftly dying.

Since it is the only thing I'm replacing in my computer, can I use a bootcd to just do a straight transfer of my information without reinstalling anything?

yes

there are many ways to do it, one simple livecd designed for this purpose is clonezilla
>>
never did it before but the easiest way would be to just dd it over and resize after, could work. might be fun

That's HDMI 1.1 you silly goose.
They didn't slant both sides until 1.2
It makes it easier to push it in and pull it out but also helps maintain grip so it doesn't slide out on its own
