Yes there isyes there is look for the assistive technologies upgrade
Here we discuss the pros and cons.
I've seen Solus memed to shit and back on /g/, and I want to understand what it is that actually draws peoples to it. I use Linux for development, and Windows 10 for everything else for practical reasons. Right now, Arch is the most appealing to me due to its package manager and always having the latest stable packages from upstream.
What does Solus bring to the table over the other distros for a developer, or in general?
Are there actually that many people shilling Solus here or is Kevin truly a NEET with nothing else better to do?
Install Solus
>>57740496
Solus is a nice distro with superb performance.
Its boot times are unbeatable if you consider that it's meant to be a daily use distro that comes out of the box with a DE and other utilities.
Stable, easy to install, good looking, slim and snappy. What's there not to love about Solus?
The unique cons to Solus is that it doesn't have as many packages as other distros right now.
>>57740605
Why Solus over Antergos, which gives me a decent desktop out of the box?
What is /g/ opinion on password manager such as LastPass? Are they worth it?
Meme. Just store your passwords in an encrypted text file.
>>57740471
Multiplatform and auto-complete though
fall for it again?
Bought this after a short decade of Android phones - it's my first Apple device.
What's are the first /g/ approved things I should set up?

Find my iphone. don't know if it's installed by default. if not, turn it on.
other than that, it's a fucking smartphone with a slightly different OS.
So I recently reverted my Win10 laptop back to Win7 but it doesn't have any drivers. Not for network nor USB. The only thing I can do is transfer the hard drive to my main rig. I've poked around on the internet for drivers but they either need other drivers to install or need an internet connection. Can you help me out?

What is a good silent pc case?
Fractal Design Define
Silent cases are a meme because what you actually need to make a silent PC is as little airflow restrictions as possible.
>>57740479

Some dude dropped this off at work to recycle. What do you think, /g/?

ipad pro is the only one that works well. if you can't afford one, go for wacom and connect it to some cheapo laptop.
don't bother with lagdroid ones... they all suck.
I recommend you kill yourself.
>>57740260
memes aside, what is the best laptop for a daily driver for 2017?
Been using this T60 as a daily in 2014,2015, now 2016, will probably be using it in 2017 as well.

what movie is this?
Why are Samsung SSD so expensive all of the sudden?
>>57740157
unsurprising development. there's been so much capacity in the flash-memory market the past few years that almost everyone but samsung is having trouble making a profit on it. they've all been looking to cut back production and raise average selling prices for flash.
They wanna milk as much as they can before releasing 860 series

There was another "flood"

>notice my brother isn't using an adblocker on his phone
>ask him why
>he tells me they're useful and it would be stupid to block them
>install an adblocker to my sister's browser
>days later
>"anon, you broke my computer"
Adblocker only works if they dont become mainstream. Otherwise ads just move into the comtent instead of being boxed away. As adblockers are already becoming mainstream it means they are also on their way out. Thanks to idiots like you.
Honestly until 2010 or so I also had no idea about adblockers and didn't mind the ads, like the banner shit, who cares? But the popups were always annoying even 6 years ago, so when I found out I never went back
What kinda device will let me read a lot of textbook/scientific PDFs comfortably? Scrolling/rendering speed matters a lot. The bigger the screen is the better, the resolution can stay at ~200 dpi.
Also quick annotations and on-the-fly underlining.
By the virtue of content of my textbooks I need to jump between chapters/pages quite a lot to do a quick reference and the likes.
Am I looking at Surface? I'm not sure if there are decent PDF readers for iOS or Android. How about iPads? I don't care if the device is like 2-3 years old by now (not used ofc), but I would hate lags, stuttering, slow rendering etc.
I could use a laptop if not for the fact that the screens are horizontal. Transformers are monstrosities, and the detachable hybrids seem like overpriced.
So, what's /g/'s opinion on this?
>>57739888
If u read.at.computer u should buy a.monitor that can be switched to vertical view, it would.be very.convenient, otherwise probably a tablet or.an e-reader
Do not buy surface it.is garbage, ipads could work if.ur fine with overpriced shit, i think ipads work.well but i

Eink machines are the best in terms of eye strain relief. Just kinda suck for the other stuff like annotating and notes

I got this piece of shit console, and dont know what to do with it.
I'd like to convert it into something useful, but my research has concluded that its not worth my time, and I should just throw it away instead of trying to sell it.
Can someone enlighten me here about this useless thing?
It's literally garbage. Give it to some homeless people so thy can burn it for warmth.
>>57739826
What's wrong with it? It plays video games and they look decent on an HDTV from 15 feet away. Could still be using these if they had more RAM for bigger textures.
>>57739826
mod it so you can play all the games for xbox360 and xbox
