Firefox is often giving me 1-2 seconds loading screens when I change tabs now. Anyone else noticed it?
What the fuck is this bullshit?
>>57731996
my grandma got an xcom error recently and it wouldn't start
i suggest chrome, takes longer to startup but once its up it takes over the cpu
>>57731996
Switch to Opera it's better
>>57731996
same here .... what is this
I assumed it was re-rendering to save resources, but it takes too long for that because it does it even with pure HTML sites.

How to youtube video overlay pls
>>57732183
opera has an option to pop out media windows.
>>57732211
Guess I finally have a reason to try opera then. Thanks anon.
I stick with firefox because the previous tabs / tab cycling and when you make a new tab it focuses onto the address bar.
Opera is more stable, is less easy to access page source and I'm pretty sure downthemall and certain addons I love for firefox are unavailable in opera.
palememe
>firefox become REALLY fucking slow lately
>like 5-30 seconds lag when typing text in certain input boxes
>pages take ages to load
>tried safe mode, new profile, all addons disabled
>nothing works
>switch to pale moon
>fast as fuck
>still missing some features
>stick with firefox + palemoon side by side
>have the bright idea to check that one program to secure browsers against cryptolockers n shit I installed years ago
>very old version of hitmanpro.alert installed
>delete
>Fx back to being blazing fast
YEAH NIGGA, FINALLY I CAN GO FAST AGAIN
>>57731996
Did you try to use a new profile?
maybe you fucked up your config
>>57731996
firefox does this for me on linux, but on windows it's fast as fuck
>>57731996
>>57732067
>>57733541browser.tabs.remote.autostart= false
>>57733782
this is set to true on my windows installation, which works perfectly fine
what does this change? will it fix the shitty excuse for a linux version of firefox?
>>57733803
>what does this change?
Multiprocess.
>>57733826
wouldn't setting it to false disable it, then?

Are you finally ready to come home?
>>57733841
i would switch to chromium in an instant if i didn't prefer firefox's font rendering
(is what i tell myself)
>>57733835
Yes, if you set that preference to false it disables it. That also fixes OP's issue. I personally prefer Firefox without multiprocess, I never had performance issues, so I don't find it necessary.
>>57733857
oh, i'll try doing that next time i'm on my linux partition, then. thanks anon
>>57733841
It's shit, literally malware. Also chokes if you open more than 30 tabs.
>>57733869
not him, but please post a source on this, i don't want to install it if that's true
>>57733953
It sends all your data to Google. Is that news to you?
>>57733990
i trust google as much as you do, but do you have a source on this
>>57734009
Install it, open Wireshark, open Chromium, see for yourself. Chromium uninstalls easily, unlike Chrome.
Get it from:
http://chromium.woolyss.com/
>>57734049
ok i believe you, fuck that
>>57734049
Wew lad
>>57731996
I've noticed no changes...

>>57732056
It really is the last good browser, what the fuck happened?
>>57734403
Web 2.0 happened.

>>57734346
That's because of e10s. It works like shit on old computers
>>57733990
you can get ungoogled chromium. webkit browsers are probably the future unless firefox fixes their shit fast
>try chromium
>it installs into appdata folder
>no option to change install
>developer says such an option would be useless bloat
>uninstall chromium
Fuck these smug cock developers.
>>57732056
>chink software
Nah, I'll pass.

>>57732354

>>57732056
what's wrong with Brave? I recently started using it on android and winblows and it doesn't seem that bad. Really fast and actually blocks ads like it says.
>>57736316
There's portable builds
