How hard is it to become a sysadministrator in London?
What projects can I publish to my portfolio to demonstrate my sysadmin ability. I have a degree in an unrelated field.

>thread contained nothing but annoyance at the existence of yet another unnecessary general and shitposting
>died before getting even a third of the way to bump limit
Why make another one? If you have something specific to talk about involving system administration, just make a thread about that. Making a general for content that we don't get much of anyway won't create more of that content, it'll just have no activity and be filled with shitposting instead
Is it possible to still mine some profit even if little with a single card everyday use pc? I have r9 390.
>>62084473
>Is it possible to still mine
Yes
>some profit
Hahahahahahahaha no
Mining is more difficult now by design, especially since more people are doing it with larger rigs. There's no way your little r9 390 can compete with people who own multiple ASIC miners, each hashing 24/7. Bitcoin payouts decrease per block generated, so there's a finite amount of Bitcoin available anyway. That, on top of electricity bills, make it an unsustainable way of making some extra cash.
The main problem is that by the time you've seen a crypto currency jump in price, it's too late. People have already put tons of effort into mining their shares and they've already made a fortune. You're not going to make much.
>>62084473
Yes, but only if you don't pay for electricity.
>>62084473
Yes. Mine eth instead of btc like the faggots in this thread assume you are.
Is it true that learning assembly will turn you into a technowizard of power unparalleled?
Only embedded guys (some of them...) and Compiler wizards need Assembly. Nobody else should even think about it.
learning assembly means learning quite a bit about processor instructions, the execution stack and the heap.
It's like a +2 AP sword.

That hasn't been the case for a decade, now all they do is send out C&D letters and coast on pop culture ubiquity.
They killed Metroid and felched its corpse so they're dead as far as I care.

Why don't you use mouse gestures on your linfag box /g/? Oh thats right because no such thing exists for it. And don't you dare say you "never" use the mouse on linux DE.

Why did Linux failed?
>>62083973
because people working for free are unable to make a product as good as people working for money.
consumers are willing to pay money for a product that actually fucking works.
>>62083973
>Why did GNU fail?
FTFY
Because the majority of people working on the mainline kernel were contracted by companies looking for a free UNIX, and as such, cared little about the desktop market beyond passing fixes.
what do we think of it?
i dont even know what it is nor have i used it but its shit

So what are your thoughts on VPNs? Do you really need one? If so, which one do you recommend getting?
Android Oreo will come with a free Google VPN :^)
>>62083784
>Google VPN
Haha, that's cute.
>>62083734
I recommend mudfish. VPN works for desktop and mobile phones. You pay by prepaid data usage. Useful for MMOs if you want better ping.
Well?

My 5 year old iPhone 5 doesn't have this problem.
Just replace it retard. What? Can't solder?
The iPhone SE in my possession does not exhibit this behavior.
This is a place where we share our experience about female geeks we met/hope to meet.
What are your experiences with female geeks? Have you ever met a woman like pic related?
previous thread:>>62066483
She looks like a slut much more than she looks "geek" with the Fedora hoodie.
I have not met any geek girls who used Linux, but was surprised to know that some girls I met used torrents for their anime when almost no one here knows what the hell it is.

a guy gave me some sound advice once: at work you should wait until she takes the first step, otherwise it's a disaster.
