Last bread: >>62054405
>thread contained nothing but annoyance at the existence of yet another unnecessary general and shitposting
>died before getting even a third of the way to bump limit
Why make another one? If you have something specific to talk about involving system administration, just make a thread about that. Making a general for content that we don't get much of anyway won't create more of that content, it'll just have no activity and be filled with shitposting instead
Is it possible to still mine some profit even if little with a single card everyday use pc? I have r9 390.
>Is it possible to still mine
Mining is more difficult now by design, especially since more people are doing it with larger rigs. There's no way your little r9 390 can compete with people who own multiple ASIC miners, each hashing 24/7. Bitcoin payouts decrease per block generated, so there's a finite amount of Bitcoin available anyway. That, on top of electricity bills, make it an unsustainable way of making some extra cash.
The main problem is that by the time you've seen a crypto currency jump in price, it's too late. People have already put tons of effort into mining their shares and they've already made a fortune. You're not going to make much.
Is it true that learning assembly will turn you into a technowizard of power unparalleled?
>Apple is so brave and innovative!
That hasn't been the case for a decade, now all they do is send out C&D letters and coast on pop culture ubiquity.
They killed Metroid and felched its corpse so they're dead as far as I care.
proof that windows is superior
Why don't you use mouse gestures on your linfag box /g/? Oh thats right because no such thing exists for it. And don't you dare say you "never" use the mouse on linux DE.
Why did Linux failed?
because people working for free are unable to make a product as good as people working for money.
consumers are willing to pay money for a product that actually fucking works.
Because the majority of people working on the mainline kernel were contracted by companies looking for a free UNIX, and as such, cared little about the desktop market beyond passing fixes.
what do we think of it?
Both NixOS and pic related are pretty neat.
So what are your thoughts on VPNs? Do you really need one? If so, which one do you recommend getting?
>father has shitdroid phone
>suddenly phone gives him "cant connect to camera" bullshit
>asks me to fix it
>i try everything
>fuck it, back up his contacts and do a factory reset
>camera icon literally disappears
why are fagdroids (and smartphones in general) so fucking gay, /g/?
at this rate i'm sticking to a ubuntu phone.
This is a place where we share our experience about female geeks we met/hope to meet.
What are your experiences with female geeks? Have you ever met a woman like pic related?
She looks like a slut much more than she looks "geek" with the Fedora hoodie.
I have not met any geek girls who used Linux, but was surprised to know that some girls I met used torrents for their anime when almost no one here knows what the hell it is.
>Had this asian coworker once, she had a nose similar to your pic She was a coder but only did simple things. We got closer, I thought that she was liking me, ended up helping her with some stuff at work, asked her out and got rejected. Lesson learned.
a guy gave me some sound advice once: at work you should wait until she takes the first step, otherwise it's a disaster.

This looks like something a microscopic speck would use to steal a competitor's hamburger to get the classified recipe in order to drive said competitor and the stingy owner out of business and elevate his own bucket-shaped burger joint to relevancy.
Free books. Any ideas on what to grab?
>tfw he prefers C++ to Objective C
>he doesn't even have a macbook pro
Can you really call yourself a software developer at this point?
