If you want a decent pair of radios that you can use without a license, buy some old Motorola HT1000 VHF radios and program in the MURS channels. They're bulletproof, legal, and miles better than any of the "30+ mile range" FRS/GMRS radios. If you plan on getting an amateur radio license, I recommend the VX-8DR, if you're willing to drop ~400 dollars per radio.

Why do most websites have pure white backgrounds? I'm not opposed to light colors, but they could be a bit off-white, some kind of gray or something. Color schemes like Yotsuba B or Photon on 4chan are much more comfortable. I mean darkfags (mostly) don't use pure black either

Can someone give me some insight into the usability of these "on screen" back buttons you see on most android phones?
I'm a Galaxy Note user and I'm constantly hammering on my back button. I'm thinking about buying a Pixel or another android device but these on-screen buttons worry me because I won't have my back button when I'm in full screen apps.
Do you miss it? I find myself pushing it to skip ads within apps all the time.
I'd imagine it's available when you're web browsing, but is it hidden within other apps?
Maybe I'm retarded and it's present all the time, but then is it not eating up screen space as well?
I just don't see the advantage to having it on screen vs. on the bezel.

This is terrible. To whoever recommended this to me and said I should use it over an IDE, fuck you.
No I'm not a newb, I've been using it for 4 years and have come to that sad realization.
It basically makes the functionality of notepad more obtuse, has 1 or 2 very tiny improvements as features, but does nothing else without plugins. Way less efficient for coding than an IDE.

I'm going to format my Nexus 6 again because it seems that android is a full-fledged shit OS and it has to be reinstalled every two months or it will start being laggy and draining battery even if there are only 10 applications installed. And of course there is no way to backup applications' data, SMS (unless of shady magic), mobile data usage and such, but I digress...
Should I install the latest Google build? Should I install Cyanogenmod? I have been an Android user since the HTC Hero and I always used Cyanogenmod. I noticed some people started complainining and indicting the project for some reason I don't know because I have no more time to browse XDA and the android polizei/sheriff/minister.
Moreover, there is something like Ungoogled Chromium for Android? Now I'm using Firefox but I'm considering switching.
Moreover, Android general, I suppose.
