Hackintosh Thread

Hey guys, what have been your experiences with hackintosh machines? I'm currently trying to make my own with triple boot between Windows 10, OSX Sierra and Ubuntu.

Currently creating the usb installation for OSX Sierra on a OSX Sierra VM, I've attempted it before but with partitioning my SSD and it was hell, also audio never worked and ended up fucking up the whole installation and other partitions. Now I'm installing every OS in an exclusive SSD/HDD. Any good guides?

I'm using a GTX 780, so I'm not injecting Nvidia Drivers on the USB installation.

I'm doing the same right now. I've done it successfully on a laptop once but this time it's on a desktop, so it should be easier.

Currently trying to fix the formatting issues...

/g/ should i buy into the virtual reality meme? I only use my computer for talking to my friends and going on 4chan, but upgrading my computer and getting an htc vive sounds cool, but it looks really pricy.

Should i get it while the price is at 800 dollars or is vr a shamwow.

Pic unrelated

VR is a shamwow right now.

Don't get it unless you're going to develop software for it.
>>
>>57894329

When do you think I should get it?
>>
>>57894294
I tried it. Not really worth it.

1- The price for the gear itself is extremely high, as much as a good PC.
2- Your need high-end graphics. Really high end: GTX 1070 or better. That is also pricey.
3- VR gaming library is extremely limited. Try and find 3 universally praised VR-exclusive titles.
4- The VR experience itself is still not up to par:
4a- The gear is heavy
4b- The resolution is not high enough, you can still see the pixels
4c- The refresh rate is too low
4d- The tracking is a bit slow (i.e "lag").
4e- The four items above cause you to feel dizzy/sick. Does not apply to younger gamers

I would not recommend it. Maybe in ~5 years time, when you can get 4K screens per eye @240Hz, a lighter headset with faster tracking, and AAA titles designed for VR from the ground up... maybe then it will be worth it.

Get an AT to PS/2 adapter for less than $10.

Then use PS/2 because it's a superior keyboard input method anyways.
