I have a spare one of these. What should I do /g/ ?
(dubs decides???)
give it to me.
Take whatever power tools you have and go to town on it.
So let's talk about torrents, cause torrents is technology. How much has /g/ torrented over the years in both currency value and size.
I'm probably in the $20,000 range in price and well over well over 2tbs in space total.

Hey, I need someone who is tech savy. I have an old gaming rig which was built in 2011 it had a ASUS Radeon HD 6850 Which burned out about a year ago. Hadn''t used it since, but now I have decided to buy a new graphics card for it and I was wondering what I should get for it, It has a i5-2300 2.8ghz CPU, and 4Gb of RAM I might purchase more RAM aswell, Not sure about the MOBO or PSU could take some pictures if there will be anyone willing to help.

>>57897692
Well depends on your budget
You should probably get at least 4 more GB of RAM for a minimum total of 8GB
Any modern GPU from AMD or Nvidia should work and would not bottle neck your i5 (unless if you decide to go for something super high end like a Titan X Pascal)
I'd recommend an RX 480, which is a good deal for your money for 1080p gaming at ultra or 1440p at high
Your PSU should probably handle any modern GPU since they are much more efficient than the 6850, as long as your PSU is at least 400W and has a six pin you should be ok

Good riddance. C is cancerous buffer-overflow-happy outdated dogshit. Managed code must become the norm.
How do you guys justify spending so much money on a phone?
They cost as much a desktop now and you can't even reuse the parts..!
I don't, I have a Z3c and will have it for the foreseeable future.
but my phone costs 130 dollars

@57897505
why isn't he using Mac/Darwin?
its clearly the superior os
>>57897505
here's my current thinking put fedora on a usb with persistent storage, install all the software I use to make sure it works and test all my hardware works fine - if it does backup all my files and install fedora, is this a good plan?

Oh yes, it's great news alright.
Deep learning is literally exploding these days.
Is anon working on anything deep learning related?
>>57897345
No, and I don't plan to.
After all, it's overrated statistics.
>>57897345
Deep learning is a meme
Prepare your brainus for trustless asyncronous collectively trained intelligence triage assisted learning networks. TACTICAL Nets for short.
What's /g/'s favourite lossy and lossless audio formats?
Mine would be:
Lossy - Ogg Vorbis
Lossless - FLAC
Also am I the only one who despises mp3? It's such a shitty space hogging lo-fi last gen format. Look at the pic 320kbps is only marginally better then Vorbis at 160kbps.
Is that mp3 your own rip?
>>57897348
Yeah, I ripped a CD to FLAC and then converted it in Audacity.
You can encode an mp3 without the 20kHz cut off.
Vorbis is still nicer though.
I think you're doing great.
Why doesn't Google broaden their horizons? they pretty much stay in the tech lane when they could do so much more
install solus
They can't even stop their search results and ads from getting hijacked by frauds and racists. No thank you.

wohoo only 5 years until it's the standard for SOME products
Does it finally do bit perfect audio streaming?
I don't know much about so I need help, above a certain volume level the audio simply disappear, before that point the output is fine, no distortion or noise, why?
