What is, in your opinion at least, the best laptop of all time and why?
the Retina Macbook Pro with Touch Bar (tm) (r) (c) (Patents Pending)
Thinkpad t440
My Toshiba Satellite that's nearly 5 years old.
I was contemplating lately about getting a new laptop and while I found some great deals among 15.6" laptops (also wanted a little change since all my previous laptops were either 13“ or 14") I always seem to be drawn towards the 14" or smaller devices again...
They seem to be better made and have more balanced specs than most bigger devices.
Because they cost more for the same specs
I have a 12.1", 13.3" and a 14".
13-14" is perfect size. 12.1" is too small to work on.
I can't imagine having a 15.6" or a 17" laptop. That's a 'desktop laptop'.
because NOBODY GIVES A SHIT
just get the screensize you want/need

Does anyone has these? Are their any practical use for them?I heard you can't even watch youtube on them!
They are fashion accessories. They are pretty pointless but nice to own (if you don't care about money).
Rich kids toys.

Do any rock stars or celebrities endorse GNU/Linux?
why should you care about their opinion anyway?

Thank you S-Senpai
GNU Kids on the Block use GNU/Linux exclusively.
does C# have a chance in overtaking Java as the dominant language in the market? as big as microsoft is, they are still less wealthy than google that shills Java through android. oracle are also huge. i think most apple-store apps are also Java written
also what are actual advantages that C# has over Java? are they significant enough to convince a software company to embrace it?
friendly reminder: using "pajeet" or similar memes immediately invalidates your argument
>>57896838
Android using java was the most retarded thing of the century.
no
>>57896838
Yes Chadhtag has a real chance of overtaking Java because Microsoft is becoming more open source and Linux friendly
cant decide , hard choice
Hackintosh no doubt

Intel is finished and bankrupt.

How is this funny?
Intel licenses GPU tech from both vendors. AMD licenses CPU tech from intel.
ITT: We admit we are not programmers and will not ever be programmers and that is okay because there is a lot more to technology.
Now say it!
Own it. Then move on with your life and get to work on other things you can do.
I'm not a programmer, I can barely piece together a working batch script if I have instructions.
I am an expert cidermaker though. Everyone's good at something.
Except r9k
>>57896634
I'm not a programmer because I'm a sysadmin.
However, a several lines of C code slapped together after hours of lurking at stackoverflow now work as a switcher in a high-availability website cluster for a certain government department.

Daz loader is the best. Followed by the Microsoft Toolkit.
But you ahould be careful where you get it from. There are indeed some forums where the originals are posted. But im posting from my phone so I cant look em up. I think its mydigitallife.

This was an interesting read. Interview with Earl Geddes, ex R&D director at Knowles, talking mostly about psychoacoustics, audio product design and how these two relate. There's a lot of loudspeaker talk but I guess because of his background at Knowles and being audio related it's best shared here.

LXDE's website got refreshed to look "modern". What's the point when LXQt is going to be the successor?
http://lxde.org/
wtf I love Lubuntu now?!
http://lubuntu.me/
Is LXDE anymore lightweight than LXQt? Because the later looks really nice, might even be my new favourite DE.
LXDE is deprecated.
