Is there an open app/protocol for controlling IoT devices?
As the result I'd like an app where I could register arbitrary number of home made IoT devices with arbitrary capabilities (on/off/pin6-high/make-room-2deg-cooler/etc) and could control them from there.

You mean like SSH?
Registering them would be putting their IPs in a textfile.
Then you use BASH to loop over them, and send commands over SSH to all of them.
It's not hard. I know you can do it anon.

Yeah, sounds like a great UX, ty!

your mom is an open protocol

I've got the mx510 and mx518. Can't find a better mouse that feels as good as these do.

This looks exactly like mine, except that it has more gunk on the scrollwheel and the back and forward buttons.

Microsoft releasing x86 emulator for ARM based installations.
Really doesn't mean much to me, I use Linux, and have had ARM support way longer with full application support the whole time. But, looks like microshaft might be making a good move here.
Thoughts /g/?

Touko spread her legs for everyone to have a go, and most people outright refused and even sued Microsoft to get her vagina out of their faces.
Nanami is still getting the dick on a daily basis.

What's good software for creating beautiful resumes that isn't LaTeX?
I tried it, the distributions are a mess and there are too many of them, documentation sucks, package management is a nightmare, and doing package management manually through directories makes me want to kill myself.
Word
Just make it with HTML+CSS.

Just get a TeXLive distribution.
On Ubuntu there's texlive-full or something. I can't remember, I'm on my job-pc right now.
Thing is, it pulls in just about everything you'd ever want.
Then you just include the .sty file and everything just works.

What do you guys think about Apple not giving out cruicial data of the san bernadino shooting?

Should I care about G-SYNC / FREESYNC?
I'm going to replace my current monitor (it has a broken display port, still in warranty) and I figured I would add some money and get a "professional" monitor with accurate colors and decent build quality.
I found one with 6ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate, from what I know having 1ms response time and/or 120-144hz refresh rate is mostly a meme, so I guess I don't care about those too much... I don't even play professionally anymore so whatever
What about these gsync/freesync features though? It seems like they help with screen tearing when the screen refresh rate and game FPS are very out of sync, but we've managed this long without them, so is this also another placebo meme?
cozy pic unrelated
I'd go for a high refresh rate (120hz+) before adaptive sync.
>>57902260
Would I REALLY notice it though? Would my eyes really see the difference? I doubt it...
I can't seem to find many good (and non-ugly) monitors with that refresh rate anyway
>>57902313
I had a buddy who bought into the gsync meme, it's honestly barely noticeable. Certainly not worth the price premium on the monitors. Haven't tried freesync but the monitors for that are cheap at least.
Honestly vsync is going to be good enough for most people
