NULL doesn't have to be 0 even though it usually is this value.
That's why this definition makes sense, because of portability.
Some machine may need other value for NULL, so you just change it in the header file and done.

i tried everything, googled it, couldnt find an answer
- my mobo is capable of pcie x16, but insists on maxing out at x8
- i manually set in the bios to x16
- video card is capable for pcie 3 x16

non-help topic:
i5-2500k + 7870 serving me 4/5 years now, still no real reason to upgrade (maybe video card, but it's still holding on like a champ)

If you're installing via the device, you'll need about twice the space required by the app. So if you want to install a 500MB app, have 1GB free for it to download and unpack.
OS updates, I'm not sure. I think they may have changed things recently so you don't need to download the whole update at once.
