I wiped my hard drive and put windows 10 on a bootable USB and booted my computer and it's just sitting on this computer, what's the problem?

Try a USB 2.0 port instead of 3.0/3.1 if you still have one.

>Google is phasing out the internal use of Microsoft’s ubiquitous Windows operating system because of security concerns, according to several Google employees.

>New hires are now given the option of using Apple’s Mac computers or PCs running the Linux operating system. “Linux is open source and we feel good about it,” said one employee. “Microsoft we don’t feel so good about.”

>Employees wanting to stay on Windows required clearance from “quite senior levels”, one employee said. “Getting a new Windows machine now requires CIO approval,” said another employee.

Windows is done for, how will they ever recover?

yes, quite literally a disaster

I'm not sure why they think OSX would be more secure than Windows. Linux isn't exactly bulletproof these days either.

Freedom of thought require free media.
Google is and have always been an enemy to freedom.
Youtube (centralized video streaming) is a bad design as you give the control to a single entity.
Switching to another service which uses the same model will have the same problems.

What we need is a federated video streaming service, but people are not willing to set that up and everyone wants to be a "youtuber" for some reason.

What you can do is use youtube-dl, use it to download your "subscribed" channels and watch them when and if you want to.
It doesn't solve the problem but it is the quickest fix I know of.

Both are roughly the same at this point, RX 470 has slightly more VRAM but will consume 20-30W more. Performance gap varies but it's not that big anymore, depends on what games you play. Pick whatever is cheaper in your country. In the US it's likely the 470 4GB. Neither card is suitable for 1440p maxed.

My last laptop died and I'm in urgent need, the guide in the wiki pointed me towards this but I want to know what you guys think personally.

I'm a college student, psych and bio major, primary needs being writing and heavy data / image processing in matlab. Maybe some light gaming but I don't anticipate having too much time for that plus my friend just got me a ps4

Since this is in such short notice my budget is super low, imagine the price of this is around my upper limit

As someone who uses xubuntu as their primary OS on 5/7 of their machines, I have to ask. Why the fuck does XFCE need THE shittiest file manager available? Thunar is a buggy pile of garbage that need to be lit on fire and forgotten about forever.

Why can't there exist a OS that is stable, free and doesn't want to drink your blood.

I'm doing my CP homework and I'm stuck at this exercise: Read from the keyboard the elements of a 3x3 float matrix. Rearrange the columns so that the sum of
each column's elements is smaller than the sum of the elements of the next column to the right.

What have I done wrong?

I'll copy paste the code if that helps:
#include<iostream>
using namespace std;

float sumac(float x[3][3], int c);
void arrange(float x[3][3], int c1, int c2);

void main()
{
int i, j;
float x[3][3];
for (i = 0; i < 3; i++)
for (j = 0; j < 3; j++)
{
cout << "x[" << i << "]" << "[" << j << "]= ";
cin >> x[i][j];
}
for (j = 0; j < 3; j++)
for (i = 0; i < 3; i++)
{
if (sumac(x, i) > sumac(x, i + 1))
arrange(x, i, i + 1);
}
for (i = 0; i < 3; i++)
{
for (j = 0; j < 3; j++)
cout << x[i][j];
cout << endl;
}
cin.ignore();
cin.get();
}

float sumac(float x[3][3], int c)

{
int i, j;
float csum = 0;
for (j = 0; j<3; i++)
for (i = c; i < 3; j++)
{
csum += x[i][j];
}
return csum;
}

void arrange(float x[3][3], int r1, int r2)
{
int j, temp = 0;
for (j = 0; j < 3; j++)
{
temp = x[r1][j];
x[r1][j] = x[r2][j];
x[r2][j] = temp;
}
}

Looking for advice on getting meterpreter passed antivirus on windows. My plan is to put it on a bad usb stick and hopefully just run the payload in ram, without having to store it on the hard drive.

My concern is that meterpreter is so mainstream antivirus would have to be braindead not to pick it up.

I just have a fondness for the shell I guess.
