Falcon's guide is way outdated for laptops.
Is there a more up to date one available for use?

The amount of choices available is downright insane. And I'm starting to feel the pressure of holiday shopping.

When looking for a laptop make sure it has:

>A long lasting battery
>At least 16 GiB RAM
>No Windows 10
>An SSD
>Spill Resistant Keyboard
>Keyboard with numpad

Just prioritize what you want in a laptop and search from there.

Wanted to ask a simple question, how much do programmers usually make in America, how much do you need to live there comfortably (1 room rent, eat, electricity, etc)?

And i seen job boards with 50-70k wage, is it before-tax or after-tax?

It depends on where you live.

In a smaller city (or Chicago), 50-70k is a VERY livable wage.

In LA/Bay area/NYC/Boston, it's more difficult (NY and the Bay being the hardest).

However, wages are higher in those places.

Web programmer jobs, i can do the job but i am afraid with the wage because i don't know whether it is enough to live there.

Most of the job gives 50-70k wage, but i read that 30-40% of the wage usually go to tax in western countries.

What are you excited for with CES 2017 right around the corner?

Personally, I'm putting together a new rig since I've come into a bit of money, so the i7-7700K, 1080 Ti, and new 200-series motherboards are looking swell at the moment. Maybe a new monitor if ASUS or Acer can get their shit together.
