Why are compiled languages allowed for day-to-day use again?
>>57973531
Is there a compiled programming language that have "batteries included" just like Python?
C# and Java is kinda like that but some of their own libraries sucks and I have to rely on third party libs.
Because the big boys have work to do.
>>57973531
>>57973591
Golang was pretty much built for this sort of thing, so the standard library has everything you need to write a scrapper in a handful of lines.
And it's compiled, too.
I think I have a virus on my computer for the first time in my life.
I would much rather not reinstall my entire OS.
What does /g/ recommend for virus protection/removal?
a few accounts have been compromised, so not sheriff keylogger or bruteforced
reinstall your entire OS

you know it mostly isn't, now fuck off with a reply bait thread.
IntelME, or Intel Management Engine can now be disabled on some CPUs. This means we can potentially Libreboot newer hardware.
https://hackaday.com/2016/11/28/neutralizing-intels-management-engine/
>A few months ago, [Trammell Hudson] discovered erasing the first page of the ME region did not shut down his Thinkpad after 30 minutes. This led [Nicola Corna] and [Frederico Amedeo Izzo] to write a script that uses this exploit. Effectively, ME still thinks it’s running, but it doesn’t actually do anything.
I'm excited. Freetards win again.
that means they got another backdoor

Who? Intel? No, this means we can disable the backdoor and defeat the CPU jew.

My Asus Radeon HD 7970 has been declining in performance and crashing/overheating with even the lightest loads for quite some time. Took the bait and bought it cheaply from eBay used and without warranty. Not happening again.
Now I'm thinking of switching to Nvidia and, with about $400 to spend, I'm trying to find the sweet spot, the best deal of price vs performance. I'll also consider Radeon cards if you'd recommend me one since I haven't regretted a purchase that /g/ recommended yet. My current front-runner is the GTX 1060 with 6 GB Vram. Should I?
Made a spreadsheet with various local shops and prices in euros. Trying to find the sweet spot
>>57972606
>Radeon HD 7970
maybe remove the heat sink/fan and apply new thermal compound ?
>>57972606
480 is better than a 1060 for DX12 and they are about the same cash.
1070 blows both out of the water but will top out your budget.
Is it possible to power this with a standard phone charger?
I can plug this to my phone but doesn't sound loud I figured power
I know little about this stuff I just like messing with things
I have an old entertainment center speaker box and want to turn it to bluetooth or at least use with a jack
>>57972536
Why not? give it a go. A standard phone charger is < 2 A @ 5 V. Find one that only does 1 A if you don't want to go over 5 W.
>>57972584
These are the speakers
They need more power the original post pic is the inside of it
Where do I solder the power to ?
I want to make my own circuit board but need the diagram to build it
Again I know little of this but still want to be able to power any speaker I want and connect with whatever I want how does that work
>>57972647
Assuming those aren't powered speakers, what you want to make is an amp. There should be loads of schematics online for hifi amplifiers.
If your speakers at the back only have 2 metal connectors, and no input for a power plug, then they are passive speakers that draw power through the audio signal that you send from an amplifier.
It's pretty simple in theory, you have an input source, from a phone or whatever, and use power from a mains transformer to boost the signal, which is sent to your speakers. Don't do any work with direct mains power.
Your amp will power any set of passive speakers, but impedance and optimal/max power will differ between speakers so look at this before hooking them up for risk of blowing them.
