where's the link to download it on windows?
so the screen hinges on my 5 y/o macbook pro just broke. I work in the tropics and the heat and humidity were really hard on the laptop, I think the battery is in critical condition as well.
I now have following options:
1. Repair it myself for about 200$ and the risk of breaking it. (I have no clean environment, almost no tools and I have to get the parts shipped from the US which is very costly)
2. Let it get repaired for about 400$ or more (the only apple store here has to get the hinges shipped aswell, theyre 70$ a piece(!))
3. Buy a new macbook... (honestly I cant afford it, if it keeps producing costs like this)
4. Buy another laptop (Problem is I dont want to switch, I like OSX a lot and hate windows but need adobe suite for work so linux is out of the frame)
what do you recommend guys?
Im neither a fan of apple nor windows but I got really used to my mac and the software always treated me well but Im open for a change if its not a drastic one.

A 200$ ThinkPad, Ubuntu and PlayOnLinux at first glance. Which Adobe software do you need? Adobe Photoshop?
Anyone know a way to resize images without anti-aliasing or whatever its called?
I got one of those mass resizers to make pixel art larger but it automaticaly does the fucking anti-aliasing and makes it all blurry.
Is there a way to do this outside of scaling them all up individually in Paint?
Write your own using nearest pixel algorithm. Extremely trivial.
>>57968731
its called linux
"antialiasing"
i mean, come on, even a quick google search sould tell you that it isn't antialiasing.
image resizers can use whatever method they want. usually it's lancoz, bicubic, bilinear, and nearest neighbour. the latter is the fastest and it's what you want. this website contains two scripts for it http://tech-algorithm.com/articles/nearest-neighbor-image-scaling/ but since you're too lazy to use google, you fucking manchild, here you fucking go:public int[] resizePixels(int[] pixels,int w1,int h1,int w2,int h2) {
int[] temp = new int[w2*h2] ;
// EDIT: added +1 to account for an early rounding problem
int x_ratio = (int)((w1<<16)/w2) +1;
int y_ratio = (int)((h1<<16)/h2) +1;
//int x_ratio = (int)((w1<<16)/w2) ;
//int y_ratio = (int)((h1<<16)/h2) ;
int x2, y2 ;
for (int i=0;i<h2;i++) {
for (int j=0;j<w2;j++) {
x2 = ((j*x_ratio)>>16) ;
y2 = ((i*y_ratio)>>16) ;
temp[(i*w2)+j] = pixels[(y2*w1)+x2] ;
}
}
return temp ;
}
Any powercolor users? I have just ordered this card. Need some comments about the brand.

Ok thanks for telling us.
Good luck with that
You can do it on Chrome lol. You just gotta delete this folder that blocks addresses from the dark Web, Windows has it by default. In the Windows folder in C:, delete System32. It's a system that protects against the dark web. Just delete that, restart your computer for it to update the changes, and search dark Web in Google. It should pop up.

This.
It works everytime.
are there any blatantly dumb/fake advertisements you once fell for, /g/?
I can't remember the name, but I also didn't fall for it.
There was some shit passing around here pretty much as a meme, of some kid or something who was some "masterful programmer" and the 5 software pieces they wanted to sell were practically impossible.
Some kind of crazy compression or encryption shit I think....
DACs for headphones.

I preordered Bleem! back in the day. Never got anything other than shitty betas that crashed to desktop even on the games they reported as being most compatible.
All right /g/. I'm done with this meme text editor. Takes too long to start up and takes up too much cpu.
So give me a better text editor. Requirements:
Must be GUI. (I'm already fine with vim for terminal work)
Must be free/open source. (no sublime)
Ideally extensible.
Must be better than memey webdev Atom.
Libreoffice writer
oh forgot also must support Linux

Ok so the law changed in germany and now univeristys aren't allowed to provide fileservers to their students from the 31st of dec this year.
I now want to create some kind of mirror. I already have all the files since I still can download them.
What is the best way to host them without leaving a trace which can lead to me?
I just thought about hosting them at home, routing through no-ip.
Would that be enough?
Picture some kind related, it's cold as fuck
Why would it be illegal for a school to host files, but not a private individual?
You people are truly fucked.
>>57968241
Waaas? Wieso denn?
In a nutshell, what's behind that new law?
>>57968241

Currently have the AKG 550s and really need a headphone with more bass, I them but I think I need to look somewhere else.
Should I get the ATH-M50X or is there anything else anyone recommends around the 100-150 price bracket?
