So I can have a buggy Linux emulation layer on top of a bloated, proprietary, buggy piece of shit OS that doesn't respect my privacy or my freedoms.
Or I can just run Linux.

BTW I like the integration of graphics and text in TempleOS. Unfortunately there isn't something similar enough for other OSes so I'm stuck with plain text and separate files for diagrams.

So I am going back to college at the age of 30, and on my current desktop I have no Microsoft crap. What are some good alternatives to Microsoft word and office that are open, free software.
The writing program should meet ASA requirements. Stuff like time roman numeral and all that fun shit.
Is libreoffice the go to?

Libre office will fit all the needs

It regularly fucks up layout in docx files, so I usually keep my Wangblows machine for such files.
FreeOffice 2016 or WPS Office 2016

I know I'm not supposed to ask for help, but I know you guys are good at this shit so fuck it.
I'm building my first PC and as far as I know everything is plugged in correctly. Was doing a test last night and the only thing that turned on was the case LED to signify that it's on. No other movement in the case, no fans, no nothing. I'll try to answer any questions about the build that you may have. Haven't tried any other methods since, was going to unplug everything that the PSU is plugged into and start again today.

Check your case io pins and make sure you put them in correctly
Did you use case standoffs?
>>58483511
you sure all these are plugged in correctly?
if yes, play around with the ram modules and slots.
Where does one learn to program?
At home.
>>58483450
College.
Books.
Tutorials online.
Self-taught.
There is no easy way, it's like learning mathematics in a different language, if you wanna do it you just gotta get to it until you git gud.
>>58483450
At home:
Books, compiler, Ideas.
Read a little, code a little.
Dont care about how many mistakes you make at first, or if you are progressing fast enough, just play with code.
Later learn more about Algorithms and data structures since they are the heart of CS and independent of programming language.
