Hey /fit/
I love sunflower seeds and ussually go through a bag a day (5.25 OZ) and was wondering if it hurts with weightloss and if i should also cut it out of my diet as well.

Former fatty here, scared of being fat again. I'm 5'9.5-ish, 160 pounds. I just started lifting two weeks ago and I have no clue what I should be doing. Should I cut until I have less body fat or not worry so much about fat until I've built some muscle? I just want a clear fitness goal and notion of the amount of calories I should be eating.

I'm at 30% body fat, all I do is HIIT like 4 times a week (35s intense, 25s rest). Should I also start lifting weights and if so, where to start?

you're better off sticking to the bike because your cardio ability is probably pretty shit anyway

What kind of HIIT do you do? I'd suggest only steady-state cardio if you aren't rowing or swimming or something. Even if you're not getting shin splints or pain, running would put a lot of stress on your joints and shit. I'd wake up an hour earlier and go for a walk, or set the incline to max on a treadmill and the speed to 3 or 4mph. I'd also recommend you go on a 1000 calorie deficit until you hit 20% bodyfat, and then a 500 calorie deficit until you hit your goal weight.

Yes, you should. Start by watching form videos on Youtube and finding the /fit/ version of Grey Skull LP to do as a routine, but re-order the exercises so you're squatting second. Doing chins/rows immediately after OHP/bench is stupid.

So... I was just doing some push ups/triceps dips. Lifting just 30kgs(weak af, i know)
The next day my shoulders and arms are kind of sore. My little cousin wants me to play on a trampoline with him, I do.

depends on how you're built.
when you do leg presses , does it feel like your ribs are gonna get smashed by your incoming knees ?
if so.... forget the belt on d-lift. you'll compress yourself too much at the start and it is too painful to think about anything else.

i had the same issue, it put 5kg on my deadlift instantly and my lift is safer because i done have to hurry to get the weight back down as it slips out my hand

my brain has gotten sluggish. i think it's either do to the lack of exercise or a lack of speaking.

What are some great /fit stir fry combos. I'm cutting right now and looking for good low-cal stir fries. What vegtables/seasonings do you use? How much oil do you use?Do you add rice? Do you use chicken,shrimp,calamari..ect

I didint make that, I just googled stir fry and got one of the first pics.
I made stir fry today and used
- 1 bag of frozen broccoli
- 1 bag of frozen peas and carrots
- 6oz chicken cut into small peices
- 1 cup brown rice
and basically all the seasonings I have
- garlic
- Italian seasoning mix
Then at the end I also poured a little buffalo sauce on it and mixed it. Tasted pretty good. I'm probobly going to make some squid stir fry tommorow but not sure what would go good with it.

I had to quit my job at Amazon day 1 due to back pain.

Lowe back pain, I'm pretty fat (220 pounds and 5'10)

I'm doing cardio which is helping but what are some good exercises I can do so my back doesn't give out in the future?

Bad posture is a huge factor aside from losing weight. Make sure you have decent shoes, aren't slouching, and don't sleep in a weird position.

Next, do some LIGHWEIGHT squats and deadlifts; but concentrate on achieving perfect form. The squats will strengthen your posterior chain, the deadlift will strengthen your lower back.

Finally, lose some fucking weight.
