Redpill me on belts /fit/. Currently dling 2.5x bw for reps. Is it worth putting a belt on eventually if my core feels weak?
Question: Aren't waist trainers just corsets? Why, if we pretty much agreed they were unhealthy and unnecessary in the early 1900's, are they being brought back now?

depends on how you're built.
when you do leg presses , does it feel like your ribs are gonna get smashed by your incoming knees ?
if so.... forget the belt on d-lift. you'll compress yourself too much at the start and it is too painful to think about anything else.

thanks anon, proportionally I think my torso is larger than average with respect to my knee length. I don
t leg press though, if it helps my atg squat is 2x bw for reps

It gives me a good mental edge when hitting a weight I'm uncertain of. A lot of people are scared of snapping their shit up lifting too heavy and with good reason but if you're too apprehensive you'll never make any progress. So when I wear the belt I feel like my core is more ridged and I can concentrate more on givin' er'.

I try not to ego lift, but on the 5th rep of diddles my core definitely loses a little pressure; nothing unsafe but I feel like as I continue to progress it may be proportionally harder to maintain the pressure. Idk of any way to increase my core strength aside from more squats and dls so kinda in a weird spot
