Former fatty here, scared of being fat again. I'm 5'9.5-ish, 160 pounds. I just started lifting two weeks ago and I have no clue what I should be doing. Should I cut until I have less body fat or not worry so much about fat until I've built some muscle? I just want a clear fitness goal and notion of the amount of calories I should be eating.

make sure you squat/bench/deadlift with progressive overload and don't forget good nutrition. Eat big but eat clean and you will never get fat. You follow those steps you will have a unique physique in comparison to everyone else who lifts and only do isolation work,be strong as FUCK, and be alpha. Be patient too. Dont fucking rush or you will get fat. Oh and don't do 5x5. never.
