I was fat/skinnyfat. Basically fat but with NO muscles at all. I tried to lose weight a bunch of times but I had no idea what I was doing. I was just told that sugar is bad and that you should exercise but I knew nothing of calories or strength training. Had 10lbs dumbbells and ran some, but couldn't run for shit with my asthma so that didn't really lead anywhere. I even ate no candy, chips or drank any soda for a whole year as a 12 year old, which I think is pretty good willpower for that age age, but I ate tonnes of regular food so nothing happened. I got real discouraged and just accepted that I had the fat-gene and will never be able to do anything about it.

Then When I was 22 I stumbled upon something on the internet about counting calories and tried it and it fucking worked. Went from overweight to underweight in four months just because I fucking could. Obviously I got skinnyfat as shit but I was pretty proud, and a couple of years later I found strength training. Now I dream about turning back the clock 20 years and relive my life from six and up, which was the time when I was called fat the first time, with my current knowledge.

Hey, /fit/. I've decided that I'm going to try to eat healthier. I've already cut out all soft drinks, but now I need to actually work on what I eat. I put together this meal plan. Is it okay to eat this way, or am I playing myself? (Pic unrelated, but body goals)

Breakfast

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

/Fit/, is it just me, or do you guys also get really fucking pissed off during a cut? Like, my entire day, I was incredibly grumpy and irritable. I almost snapped when a bus was early, causing me to miss it. That's really out of character for me. A few stressful things have happened, but the most significant one is that I started a cut a few days ago.

So, /fit/, do you get really angry over stuff on a cut? Or is it just me acting like a psycho?

I'm 325 lbs, I've tried dieting a few times, was down to 225 at one point, but I gained it all back after meeting my eventual wife.

I really need to lose this shit, I can't live this life anymore. I've read the sticky several times, I understand macronutrients and calorie counting.

I have just a couple questions.

1) I can't afford a gym membership at this time, and half the gyms around here are really sketchy about their pricing plans (such as ONLY 10 BUCKS A MONTH but we have a 90 dollar yearly fee on your third month btw.) I haven't found cheap enough free weights in the area to turn my garage into a home gym.

Would it be worth doing the 100 Pushups, Squats, Crunches, whatever, until I can? Their shit is on this page http://hundredpushups.com/ I know it isn't SS, it isn't something on the sticky, but it's free and I could start doing it now. I just don't want to waste time if I won't get any real benefit out of it.

2) What about Minimally Viable Fitness/Nutrition? They give some nice routines as well as suggest counting macronutrients instead of just pure calories.

3) I just want to clarify that with a calorie deficit I cannot gain muscle, but I should still weight lift in order to burn more calories than cardio can. Is that right?

I assume many of you are like me in that the major hobby you have in gym time

This leaves not many places to meet grills outside of work which is a no no.

I want to know if any of you guys have ever approached a girl at the gym as it is obviously a great place to find someone with similar interests.

I don't like clubbing or drinking that often so Id like to have a thread sharing any tips or stories about your success in this area as I hear all the time that girls dont want to be hit on at the gym EVER.

I have an existential question
and you seem like the best equipped board to help

How hard is it to convince a girl to start exercising and eating right? Is it even doable? and where do I start?

So like I matched with this chick on Tinder and we hit it off. She was insanely hot in her pictures but I met up with her she was very chunky. I mean not disgusting but still above my maximum preferred weight

BUT she's cool as fuck. She listens to dope ass music and goes to all kind of festivals and shit. Also, I know she is capable of looking really attractive because, like I said, in her tinder profile pics she's hot as fuck, and it's not just the selfie angles. You can tell she really did used to be skinny. And in terms of personality she's straight up awesome. Smokes weed, likes EDM shows, does yoga, and is just generally a chill person to be around, and her roommates are pretty dope as well.

But I really can't deal with getting wrapped up with a fat chick for the long haul

so

do I just take her out a couple more times, dump her, and then try to be friends or do I try to bring the fine-ass skinny chick that is hiding under the chub?

bonus points for suggestions on how to either dump her and stay friends or how to suggest she lose weight without actually calling her a fat fuck.
