i usually go to snap at indro in glorious Queensland. but im forced to use to one in gosford NSW while im seeing my folks, and its defiantly marketed to the beginner/senior citizen population. theres like 2 BB's in the entire gym the free weight area is tiny like 2/3 is cardio equipment and 'swissball areas'.
ive found that most commercial 24/7 gyms in the last couple of years have become pretty shitty now and are starting to feel more like planet fitness than the no-nonsense, no-frills gyms i stated lifting in.

Another Brisbane anon here (Runcorn, southside).

Used to go to the Loganlea one (temporarily unemployed, and rent was cheap), and the Snap Fitness there was literally the only good thing about that shithole.

Empty pretty much all hours of the day during the week (except from 5-7, when the post-work rush was on), and was pretty dead on weekends too in the morning, lots of equipment, and I was able to just mind my fucking business and get on with my workout in peace.

Then I moved, and tried out the one in the Brisbane CBD, because it was near my work. Not anywhere near as good. Noisy, crowded, idiot staff.

Now I go to Goodlife at Garden City. It's a little better than Loganlea Snap in regards to the actual facilities, but I do miss the peace and quiet.

i hear ya anon. i loved indro man the staff are awesome, the regulars are cool as fuck just stay away from it from 4-6 the most frustrating part about gyms with a huge population is the fact that most people around you taking up space just seem to be going through the motions of a work out, they go for years and never seem to change, they get there do some full body bullshit from bb.com and get a kale shake on their way out.
fuck it im gonna call my friend and still see if he wants to open a gym with me.

Hi guys, just finished my workout and have to admit, i did a foolish thing, i pushed myself to the limit, way to the limit.

I only did 40kg bench press and i strained my right arm to the point i could not lift it up and caused a big scene, where i fell off the bench and weights collided both sides of the floor and with the bar almost hit someone nearby.

40kg is not alot, i just did too much reps, about 58 non-stop, all the way down and up to the point, i defintely struggled.
I'm rather embarrassed actually, the whole gym had their eyes on me.

Well..lesson learnt from now on, and i'm more concerned i almost hurt someone but i could have hurt myself MAJOR if i could not lift it up.

Was my act foolish? I guess my motivation and determination got the best of me.

Also noticed that the bigger guys are starting to respect me more.
Training without roids is like playing runescape without membership. You're never going to get anywhere..

Well /fit/, I had a date tonight. Only been lifting three months but it shows since I was a skelly before. Spent an hour mirin' myself, psyching myself up. Gonna nail it.

Get to date location. Met the girl online so I didn't know what she sounded like. Turns out she has a mild speech impediment. Not realizing this, I asked her what her accent was and where she was from.

Hey /fit/
I pinned for my second time tren E in my left delt Sunday Morning. First pin was a bit sore and red. I woke up monday with some mild soreness and redness. Today I woke up feeling fine, but when I went to the gym, it appeared more red. I got home, took this pic, took an anti-histamine, and after taking an anti-histamine, I noticed both of my elbows are swollen. Wondering if this is normal, if should wait a couple days, or what? 25 year old male and I'm still under my mother's health insurance. Health is first and foremost but I'm not trying to rush to the ER and get medicine if it's not absolutely necessary. Wondering if I do indeed need to go or if anyone else has had the same issue.
