Hi guys, do you have stretch marks and if you do , how are you feeling about them?

Tabata is a hiit protocol. It's really interesting and can produce fantastic results. Inspirational quotes are a bad sign, but if they can properly guide people through tabata and know when it's appropriate, you probably have a non shit trainer, at least for general purposes.

Are you supposed to stop exercising completely when you're ill?

I picked up a nasty cough a few weeks ago that's developed into bronchitis, I don't feel like I've got the energy to do anything but the lack of activity is getting maddening.

Yeah, you should take some rest. Exercise requires a lot of energy, both during and after training. When you're ill, your body needs to fight whatever you're dealing with. That in conjunction with exercise will only make it worse.

Same goes for the flu and such.

Take a few days rest untill you're feeling all right, then wait another 2 days untill you feel perfectly fine. Those two extra days are to make sure your recovery goes as it should, even if you feel all right, you're not completely healthy again. You're still ill in that case, you just fill it less.

I know it sucks to take a few days off from the gym, I know the feel. I had the flu and went to the gym anyway, fuck that was a big mistake. I was ill for a little over two weeks, when it could have just been a week at max.

Don't tell anyone, but I don't actually belong here, just a lazy /v/irgin after some advice. I've had a week of very heavy rest, after overdoing it a tiny amount in the first week, now I'm just trying to get back into my regular activity so I'm not reading the whole sodding internet every day.

You're probably right though, I should be pushing myself back into my modest routine. Is full on hardcore rest the way to go, or is mild activity still beneficial? I could just leave the stairs out of my daily walk, it's still plenty tiring at the moment.

I liked the technique aspect of it. Almost like tai chi.

The fighting is retarded though. No hands, no grappling and only kicks. Made it way less fun and practical.

I injured my lower back doing squats a few months back due to not bracing hard enough and tightening my glutes. I'm very flexible and can hit ATG easily but with a very severe butt wink. How bad is this with an injured back if I'm bracing properly and rest of my form is near perfect? Is it not considered ATG if your butt winks? Should I just hit parallel and avoid the butt wink altogether? I'm very lost as to how I should approach this issue.

You're not flexible at the hips enough. At your stance width in the OP you should be able to go lower without compromising upper/lower back rigidity

Hey guys, I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to start working out 6 days a week instead of 3.

I'm naturally lean and I've made quite the amount of progress over the past couple years. However, I really haven't made as much progress as I would like. My lifts go up a little bit every week but I haven't really gained much in size or weight in the past year.

My friend that I met at the gym suggested that I work out 6 days a week if I want to see real progress. I do a 3 day split: Chest and tris, back and biceps, and legs and shoulders. I'm considering doing each of these splits twice a week instead of just once. Thoughts?

So, my girlfriend and I have never worked out before, and we plan on going to the gym together. Not sure if that's a good idea or not but that's not the point. I told her we can only go together if she does a real program (I suggested SS). But I'm scared. What weights do I start with?? How do I not mess up? I'm convinced that all the "SS is a troll" trolls are only talking about the weirdo retarded version that people have basically made up out of third hand stories.
It's seriously on every torrent tracker that has books if you're a poor fag. It has a chapter on each of the major movements, and each of those chapters has a section called "Learning to X". It's a few pages long for the basics, followed by dozens of pages with more detail and common problems and fixes.
