Just got an x-ray at the doctor's and my growth plates still haven't closed. He said they'll most likely close within a year. What can I do to actually increase my height in the next year. I'm currently a 5'9" manlet.

Hey everyone, I've never posted here before so I hope I can get some help. So I just signed up at the gym and I've been going mon-fri for 2 weeks. I'm a 20 year old Male 6'1 and 155 pounds. My goal is to be significantly bigger by September (5 months) is it possible that if I keep going everyday and doing my solid routine with my solid diet? Any tips? Thanks in advance

Hey guys.

I'm finally shelling out for a gym membership, after 2 years of home-gym glory.

I know what I'm doing; I don't need a personal trainer. I just want to lift heavy shit and make gains.

What kinds of questions should I ask before committing to a new gym? Mainly issues that would be easy to overlook. The ones I'm looking at have decent free-weight areas and no lunk-alarms, so I've got the obvious covered.

Anyone here row?

I'm interested in getting a rowing machine for my new home gym. I've heard that rowing is pretty much as good as running, but better on your joints, and better than 99% of the other cardio machines out there.

Also I heard that they're like a bunch of little mini-deadlifts/cardio version of deadlifting.

Is it true? Also, if you have any recommendations for not so expensive rowing models let me know.

Used to row in high school. Real rowing was a pain in the ass, working these machines was the best part. At one point they actually set up a 10000meter race using these in middle of the winter. It's fun, but if the money is coming out your own pocket I wouldn't do it. I can go to three gyms: my school's, the Ys, and a community gym and they all have one of these.
