If your grip is what's holding you back from doing more, by all means do mixed. Still better than using straps. I usually switch to mixed when I go above 2 plate anyway
get chalk and work on your grip, but don't let grip be your limiting factor. use mixed grip/straps/hook grip if you have to

Most likely do that. I was having the same issue but I just release my hands and grip the bar again each time and no longer have the problem.
Switching to straps or mixed grip is retarded at 225, you won't be training your grip strength as well

How to squat
>take a thumbless grip on the bar

>squeeze your glutes hard

>push traps back into the bar, still look slightly down
>stand tall with everything contracted
>take one step back with the left foot
>bring the right foot back aligned with the left foot
>adjust stance width in 2 foot movements
>maintain the valsalva manoeuvre throughout all this
>take a short quick breath and don't loose pressure
>mentally cue knees to be aligned over foot
>do this by spreading the floor with your feet, as if you're standing on a sheet of paper and you're trhing to rip it in half with your feet
>DO NOT HINGE
>if you've set up correctly you are already hinged, do not force a hinge
>with knees being pushed out, but over toes, begin to love your hips
>maintain the valdalva manoeuvre or face death
>do not squat fast, you'll catch rebound no matter how fast you go
>near the bottom make a conscious effort to keep knees aligned with toes
>drive through the floor and raise the hips
>make an effort to squeeze the glutes, however they won't be squeezed at the bottom, just imagine they are though
