I can actually feel my back and shoulders and these weird muscles i didn't know i had over my ribs getting harder, but my chest is exactly the same. Can someone recommend chest exercises? I have a curl bar but I have a bad back so I'm kind of limited with it. Maybe even a way to ghetto rig a bench so i can bench press? I could use some general tips on working out without weights.
Also can't get my ab workouts right. Arms and shoulders and legs seem to get done alright though.
elevate your feet, put em on a chair or something, and do pushups like that with a wide-ish grip

go to a gym
i was at the beach earlier today with a group of friends i hadn't seen in awhile. we're all busy with work and/or school so it's a rare occurrence for us to be together.
i've been lifting consistently for ~five years now and i think i look okay. i get compliments from acquaintances and people that sparingly see me always comment on how much more muscular i've gotten which is nice i suppose. my gf goes on and on about how good i look but that's to be expected. since i hadn't seen this group of friends in a long time i was a bit nervous about taking off my clothes since i'm not the most confident individual despite the positive feedback i get from others.
it was a nice ego boost when my friends started commenting on how much bigger i got and how good my body is looking. unfortunately there's one individual in the group i've butted heads with quite often (mostly to do with a girl) and he was poking fun at me "flexing" my abs. for the record, i am flexing ever so slightly to stay a bit tight but i'm not, like, red in the face and unable to breathe or anything. it's like a 25% flex which has become second nature to me now. the best way i can describe this individual is the "i peaked in high school" guy who is just a normal dude in the big world. he's out of shape now, gained weight, etc, and so i think he was bitter about the attention being thrown my way which wasn't the norm when we were younger.
anyway, does anyone else does this or am i actually autistic for doing so? i always assumed it was common.
>does everyone do it
yes
>does that make it not autistic
no
>>38657226
... so is everyone autistic?
The truth is that pretty much everyone with visible abs is flexing them. Even huge guys in contest shape will barely have visible abs if they are completely relaxed.
Is there any point lifting if I can only afford to eat eggs, rice, beans and ramen noodles?

What's your food budget each week?
>>38657032
25$ a week and I'm also in Ontario canada where food is expensive
>>38657020
your shits would be like rocks with that diet.
i would suggest changing those beans for cabbage.
cabbage is pretty cheap and full of fiber and other good stuff, tastes like shit though but you will get used to it.
I have a girly booty and face and it's grtting a bit traumatizing how many approaches I get, as well as groping.

I hear a lot of my friends who are very fit (I'm talking being able to do 10 muscle ups in a row) talking about how genetics make a huge difference and people can be "naturally muscular"
Is this true?
If people grow muscle quicker, how can I tell if I'm one of the ones with strong genes?
Is it possible to have good genetics for hypertrophy for a single muscle? For example, if someone could build biceps and pecs easily but other muscles about average.
What do you think, /fit/?
Pic related, does harambe have good genetics?
It has truth to it, some people can build certain muscles really well, but then again, you can focus on them if you want to improve that one specifically for muscle growth.
As for Harambe, he beats up kids, so prob not.
>>38656917
>Is this true?
of course it is. Genetics are half of your succes. Most people will never be able to compete even on national level, even if they train very hard - they propably even cant train as hard as the blessed and if they do, they dont get the same effects. But that does not mean that you should give up trying to be the best YOU can be.
>how can I tell if I'm one of the ones with strong genes?
Naturaly muscular, naturaly strong, naturaly good condition, easy to gain muscle, easy to lose fat, high test levels, good response to roids and good ability to deal with toxins
Things like muscle bellies shape and lenght affect mostly aesthethic and what lift u will be good at.
>Is it possible to have good genetics for hypertrophy for a single muscle?
Dont think so, but you can have better CNS connection allowing for better muscle activation, more damage and in effect more effective training of that muscle.
>Pic related, does harambe have good genetics?
yes, gorillas generaly have godly genetics for strenght sports, you could expect a 1000kg deadlift from an alpha silverback on a good programe and nice diet I think
now Imagine if u start giving roids to gorillas.
>>38656949
If it does have truth to it, how strong is it?
Like, how much of a difference would it make?
>>38656964
Of course not. Once your body starts getting adrenaline out of doing this shit there's no going back lmao
Thank you very much for the clear and concise answers, you're doing Harambe's work fellow man.

If this is the only thing I eat today will I be fine or did I fuck up badly? This is the first time I ate something "unhealthy" since I started dieting 3 weeks ago.
>dieting

In all seriousness, what's your maintenance and your usual intake level? How far over budget are you?
