Feel the same way OP. I wait at least 30 min for the rack on a busy day. I'd rather take my sweet time doing my good form stuff than them taking the rack and doing bad form stuff. They can wait 2 hours for me or wait for someone else. :^)

Where's a good place to buy an Olympic barbell and some weights to go with it? My friend just gave me a bench and a power rack for free so I decided I should just drop my gym membership for now and see how lifting at home is. But searching for barbells and weights has been a huge hassle. Hoping someone could help me out a bit.

I would totally recommend a Rogue bar. Expensive-ish but you got the rack for free so don't cheap out. They do plates which vary in price too but I can't speak for their quality.
