if I want to lose body fat it is better to:

do cardio on exercise bike 30-45 minutes few hours before sleeping

or

do cardio 30-45 min just after waking up?

Also a lot of people find that cardio in the morning on an empty stomach is effective to burning fat. I did.

Why am I 20% (info from symmetric strength btw) stronger at pull lifts? I can do 20kg weighted pull ups for 5 reps but struggle like a motherfucker benching 80 kilos for 5 reps. I'm 8 months in lifting so pls no bully. pic is juicy goal body.

i thought rowing machines were a meme. tried it out for the first time today and holy shit you guys weren't kidding.

>walk up to one of those concept 2 rower machines
>put it on 8 (not sure what max is, probably 10?)
>strap in and start rowing easy to get the proper groove going
>feeling it
>take a sip
>rest for about a minute

>heart is pounding like crazy
>literally gasping for air
>sweating so much like i fell in a pool
>people are looking at me and wondering if i'm having a heart attack
>drink almost 1L of water right there
>go to bathroom to refill, gasping for air along the way
>think to myself that i fucked up my workout for the day because of it
>takes me at least 5 min to stop feeling my heart trying to escape my chest

surprisingly it didn't affect my workout at all and it actually woke me up and warmed me up really good so i could skip my usual warm up routine. gonna put that shit on max next time i go there and do a few 500 m splits. i think i found my after work cardio replacement.

any tips?

Rowing machines are the shit. Especially the concept2 ones. I've only had a few gos at it but I've decided to start doing 5k's on a rower for cardio. Tried it once and it was the perfect length to get me winded as fuck but not entirely destroyed. Averaged a 2:11.8/500 m. Don't know what would be a good time to shoot for.

Are chuck taylors a meme? I do need a pair of gym shoes and people seem to recommend the hell out of these but how big of a difference does it make. By wearing them I lose out on the ability to do cardio if I so choose at any point and I'm not bringing 2 pairs of shoes to the gym. So will I really notice a difference lifting in them versus a regular running shoe/sneaker?

It's a significant difference.

Good lifting shoes have either very thin or very solid soles. This is important because you really don't want the soles compressing and maybe tilting your foot or something similar when you're trying to squat or deadlift for the same reason that you don't really want to be squatting on a bosu ball.

What's the "best" bodybuilding fast foods for when you feel like eating like shit?

As in cheapest per calorie, most protons, least sodium, etc..

A xl pizza was like $20 for 4k cals and 176g protein. Seems expensive
