Can OHP contribute to a "blocky" physique?

When I was OHPing today at a new gym I'm trying out, they have mirrors (bad) at the racks, so I was seeing my first OHP in the mirror for the first time.

I noticed that my body looked like a fucking block when I was OHPing.

Now I'm starting to think all this standing free-weight barbell training has contributed to me having a blocky physique because the center of my body must get bigger in order to support free weighted movements.

If I was to switch to doing everything seated and use dumbbells, or even machines stuck in a fixed motion, wouldn't that allow for a V-taper type body, since my core wont be being activated anywhere near as much?

Any ideas?

I made some motivational wallpapers for myself a while back. I did it because I wanted to be greeted with positive concepts and quotes since I use to spend a lot of time at my PC. Perhaps they can help you guys out too.

What things are important to watch when you eat? I know calories, carbs, and proteins are mostly what people talk about but how bad is it if you consistently go over your limit on something?

The things I'm wondering about specifically are fats (typically saturated fats) and sodium.

Also what's the best way to get enough protein? I looked up some information on how much I should be eating and it's recommending around 140g a day. In a normal day I probably have 50% of that, which could possibly be an issue if I want to be working out. Should I just get some protein powder and mix that in with water to get to my daily recommendation? If so then what brands or types are the best to just build muscle?

I'm pretty new to all of this so I don't know a ton. Getting a gym membership starting next month but I've been riding my bike 10+ miles a day and I've been doing strength stuff around the house for about 2-3 weeks now. Food is something that seems really difficult to keep track of (I don't like getting a meal plan from somewhere and following that) so I just want to know what is most important.

Didnt even look at your pic, just go to a TDEE calculator find your maintenance calories and add or subtract 500 calories from that based on whether or not you want to bulk or cut. Buy a digital food scale and set out a meal plan for yourself based on foods you like that way you dont have to count calories randomly everyday, instead its already laid out for you and you only have to count the macros once. 1-1.5 g of protein per pound of bw and you can adjust carbs and fats to whatever satisfies you. This is for those who shave their whole bodies, legs, arms, pubic hair, etc. How do you do it? I got done using 3 different disposable razors and I'm not even extremely hairy. Plus it took over an hour. And I got like 10 cuts on legs, arms, etc. I did it in the shower with no gel or anything. I figured many of you probably do as well to look better.
