Hey /fit/ so today I cooked some plain rice. It was around 250g-260g uncooked then I boil it for 10 minutes but because i recently started cooking I didn't let the rice soak up the water so it was a bit dehydrated but not hard. I ate it all and I was still hungry. Also the package said that 62.5 of uncooked is 216 so 250g is around 900 calories. Is this too good too be true or I am missing something?
its around 800 calories, did the math.
>too good to be true
I hope you are a skelly struggling to gain weight, otherwise there is no reason to eat 800 calories worth of rice.
I am past skelly but I still need to gain weight also I am not struggling it's just that now it is going to be many times easier.
Can low bar squats help with lower back pain?
pic completely unrelated
>>42214214
Low bat squats are the only way I can squat without lower back pain, high bar and front squats just fuck my shit up senpai.
And my legs are bigger than anyone else who comments after me so lol at them
>>42214345
Yeah, I've been having so much back pain from high bar squatting(nothing too serious though), I figured I'd get an opinion on low bar.
How do those of you who have physically demanding jobs stay fit? How do you have the energy to get in the gym? What motivates you, tips and tricks? Also /fit/ jobs general.
Not me, but pic very much related.

A lot of coffee and sleep. Worked as a kayak/wwr guide in CO for a few years. I usually only had one or two 3 hour tours a day, so I had a lot of time to workout and cut loose with my co-workers.
Listening to LP in the gym right now...
Are you actually sad some guy you never met is dead?
>>42214215
Y-yeah... Linkin park was my first concert I went to as a kid. Meteora was the first CD I owned.
>>42214215
Can you be any more plebe or simple-minded?
How many scoops is your dogbro on, /fit/?
I give my gsd bully max. He benches more than i do now.
Is there any way to grow a few inches taller past age 20? I feel I have a decent body muscle since I work out, but it still looks a bit awkaward because I'm just 1.81 (6ft.) tall and I'd like to be around 1.85m (6ft 1in)
>>42214099
181 is 5'11.
Anyhow, if you're lucky you can grow until 25. I was 181cm at 20, now I'm 23 (close to 24) an I'm 183 (6ft.).
Unironically swimming. Swam 3 years in university mostly cardio workout pace, grew about 1 and half inch, or 4cm
Hi fit, I rarely ever go on here, but I just wanted t help everyone of you guys out. I have had forward head posture my whole life and it has resulted me in getting a baby face.I'm 22 and people say I look like an 8th grader. Its seriously hurting my self esteem and I'm probably going to get jaw surgery when I make enough money. But the point is, correct your posture (specifically the head) so your head develops forward, doesn't droop down, or your teeth become crooked. Theres a reason why almost 50% of humans have shity teeth/jaws (and its only going to get worse). No other animal in nature has crooked teeth or an underdeveloped jaw as much as humans. Orthodontics are a scam and the whole institution is based off principles that are our outdated and reluctant to do new research (why would they want people to get perfect teeth?) Remember, your tongue should be touching the roof of your mouth when you swallow. IF you can't swallow or breathe (with correct posture), then start slowly. I've been doing this for a couple of years and it defenitly has given me a more define face. I know some of you guys won't belive me, but if you dont, just google it youself. There has been alof of research on this. Heres one of many links that could hlep you out:

forward head posture is when people let their neck slouch without realizing -- it has no affect on how your face looks
You are multiple levels of stupid and probably just gave garbage genes
>I have had forward head posture my whole life and it has resulted me in getting a baby face
No. Your neck position doesn't affect your face. The only thing that does is breathing through your mouth.
>>42213877
yeah you must be right, theres no way your head which is literaly a 50lb bowling ball has no affect on skeletal and muscular development. its ok you don't have to believe me, but don't make other people ugly cause u are :(
>broke ankle
>foot at literally 90 degree angle with shin

>no forms of exercise for 8 months
>can't cook

>check bodyfat levels with hydrostatic test, 28% bf (was 11)
>lean mass hasn't changed much
>go to gym today
>all lifts down 70lbs
>feeling suicidal
what was you recovery like? did the strength come back faster
>injury general
If you previously trained your strength will come back very quickly, losing the fat on the other hand not so much.
>>42213806
keep it together anon, it's all apart of the journey.
I broke my hand late last year and it's still not the same, functions fine though.
>>42213806
If your lean mass hasn't changed, it's just the neuromuscular adaptaions that are gone, and those are pretty quick to come back compared to muscle.
Also why couldn't you do seated upper body excercises?
Has /fit/ ever gone out with a girl with a hot face but with a chubby body and then got her to workout and lose the weight so you could reap the benefits?
Fat girls with no tits are Gods cruel joke
>>42213798
Fuck no, because the chance of success is less than just getting a thin girl to begin with.
Would you trust this as a squatrack?
>>42213789
welder here
10mm of a proper weld can hold up to 1000kg
this looks like some bulgarian hobby welder, should still easily hold 150kg
i would guess up to 30kg is max.

After OHPing my left shoulder feel like it's literally on fire, and the only way to stop the burning is to lean against something putting tension on my shoulder.
At first I thought this burning sensation was maybe just a sign of my shoulder being worked, but this is the 4th time it happened and today it was super uncomfortable.
Should I just go down in weight? Should I switch to seated DBP?
Should I just skip overhead pressing for a while and do raises instead?
Do lateral pull ups, this fixed mine
>>42213773
If you're talking about barbell raises then say goodbye to your shoulders permanently.
If your grip is too wide then that could be an issue. Dumbells allow you to take a more natural lift path for your shoulder so you can try those. You might just have weak ass shoulders and need to strengthen them up. But if what you're doing is causing you pain then you should refrain from doing it. Either rest them up for a week or two or try to find alternatives.
Fuck off /fit/!!
I'm moving to another country and the first thing I checked was the average height of men..
>>42213695
AT LEAST MY DICK IS BIGGER
>tfw walk into room and look at the top of their heads to compare height
...thanks fit
Sup /fit/ any advice for strengthening knees?
Mine have been utterly fucked over the years and now I have chronic pain.
Doctor has prescribed rest and ice, but also suggests strengthening exercises may help.
Any suggestions?

I've only started and am afraid of falling and looking retarded at the gym so I use machines becuase of the failsafe systems in place.
>>42213542
Trust me, you look more retarded doing machines then failing compound lifts. Just ask some big guy to help you and they will be glad to help.
>>42213567
So, do you just go up to someone and say, "you're a big guy"?
>>42213542
Watch videos, start light, focus on form.
If you give a fuck what "we" think, just know we're judging you more for using machines than we do for using babyweight.
Dear fit,
>semi wage
>go to gym 4 days a week every week
>making great bench chest gains
>set new PR of 180
>lift 75 dumbbells
>feels good man
>ff to full time wagecuckery
>gym sceduale has been a little inconsistent, but still making overall gains, except one area...
>do chest after 2 weeks
>could barely lift a fucking plate without getting tired
>Max out at 3 sets 6-8 reps
>dumbness fall to 50
>think ok maybe I'm tired or didn't get good pre meal
>goes on for 2 more weeks
>setting goals for every other body except chest
Please help. Is this just mental?
Should I start doing light weights again. I'm scared fitbros...
