Why use protein shakes when you can eat greek yoghurt or cottage cheese?

Exclude allergy reasons in your explanations.

I have heard there can be lots of added shit in protein powders - unless going for higher quality ones, at which point isn't that more expensive than my suggested two options.

It's easier and more convenient for me to just take a few big gulps of a shake.
>>
>>42208228
I can understand somwhwat. I'm not sure it's that much more conevnient. A medium pot of yoghurt can be eaten in a minute or so.

And when I want a snack a 500g yoghurt pot is a 300 cal meal with 50g protein in it.
>>
>>42208219
it's one of the cheapest forms of protein

it's very convenient, i can put down 72g of protein in a few seconds instead of sitting around eating yogurt for an hour

also the calorie/protein ratio for whey is better than for greek yogurt (only non-fat greek comes close, at 100/18 for Fage) or for cottage cheese which makes it a good choice when cutting

been adding apple cider vinegar to a bottle of water, which I consume throughout my training sessions.

other than apple cider vinegar, what other ingredients can I add to my water, and what would their benefits be?

Honey and cinnamon

Why add vinegar to water?
>>
>>42208162
I know someone who does this. I smelt it and it's disgusting.

What's the benefits? Is there any scientific evidence?

The 'safest' extreme diet out there. But still an extreme diet. Takes lots of force of will

On it now. Down 6kg in 2.5 weeks. Very effective but you may want to die on it.

I hate going to the gym with other people.

>feel weird when resting between sets because they don't understand heavy squats and deadlifts
>they stand around awkward and impatient as you have 5 minutes rest

>waiting around for gymbro to get his shit together after having already taken preworkout
>gymbro trying to talk you into not training legs/back

>bailing on you at the last minute on bench PR day

>talking about mundane shit when you're trying to get into the zone for a deadlift PR

I'm considering starting a paleo diet but also need to bulk up
Have any on you done this?
What should I be eating to make it to 4000 calories if I discard grains and dairy? Two pounds of beef per day seem like too much

i just started running some days ago and am trying to follow a schedule that is one day arms, torso, abs and the other day running

my bro who's been working out for some years adviced me this workout but I wanted you to tell me if it's suitable for a beginner, because I couldn't end the 3rd series of the workout my first workout yesterday

arms, torso, abs day
>5 series of 10 pushups, 10 pressup, 10 pushups with hands joined (don't know the name) and 30 crunches (am beginning with 15 because my abs are in liquid form)

legs day
>simply beginning to run as long as I can (been running just two times for 20-30 mins), planning to regularly sprint to gain muscle
also, I don't really know what kind of meal i should take, i'm always eating healthy. What should i eat and how much ? I'm 1,74cm for 60kg

this could be alot of questions, I don't really know where to ask them and will surely be considered as an idiot as most of people seem to begin all by themselves. But I'm searching for the best results as a 20yo guy who never truly did sport in his life. thanks for the help by advance and sorry for my autistic english, I'm a frenchfag

There is a sticky OP. Why did you just burst into this place, and make your thread thinking you're the king or whatever ?
What's your fucking problem ? I'm not joking around, what's your problem ? Why do you think you're above us ? THIS IS what you're thinking right now, you just come here, you don't ask yourself anything and make your shitty thread. EXPLAIN, i'm curious.

Hey /fit/, started lifting around 6 months ago. My DL was going really well until around a week ago; I was hitting 110kg for my 5rm. That's obv beginner stuff for a 100kg guy like me, but I was making good progress. I'd been doing it all mixed grip owing to the advice of a friend when I started; a dude corrected me on this last week and suggested that I go overhand grip for my DL to improve my grip. Now the best I can do without my grip going is 70kg 5x5. Is it common to lose 40 when changing from mixed to overhand grip, or is it indicative of gross underdevelopment somewhere? And is it a good idea?

Guys should I cut or bulk and what program do you suggest
5 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>42207379

Bulk with a sensible surplus.
Pick one that focuses on regular linear progression because you are a beginner. All the typical beginner programs are basically the same so choose whichever and stick to it.
>>
>>42207379
>cut or bulk
lift
>>
Since you're asking for a program im assuming you haven't begun lifting yet. Start lifting while eating at maintenance , build up a base of muscle. From that point decide on a goal , get stronger/fatter/better body later=bulk , get weaker/skinnier/ok looking body now=cut
