> What's one last HS cosplay you want to do before the comic ends?
> What do you think HS cosplay will be like after the comic ends?
(just fyi thats the outdated version of the list in the op. not a big issue i guess since its mostly the same)

Larp thread, standard procedure
previous thread in autosage as usual
The "stop sending us bonus offers after we just spent all our money on the last one" edition.
Previous draw thread
>All J-fash styles (lolita, mori, otome, gyaru, deco, etc.) are welcome!
>Cosplay is discouraged, because then it's basically fanart of your character.
>Please provide your best photos.
>Artists: it's not a bad idea to just sign your work
>Selfposters: When giving credit, it's a good idea to refer to the art as a freebie or commission, NOT fanart.
>Helpful critique is acceptable, insults and taunts are not.
>You should actually be wearing your coord, not "Draw me in X!"
could some people please post themselves in cute jfash rather than lolita? i'm terrible at drawing dresses
Do you think the AP designers know that their designs are failing? Almost all of the new print series still have main pieces in stock, and I don't know about Japan but it seems like a lot of us are disappointed with the quality of the recent dresses
Thanks, art-anon edition
Seems like custom printed larger sized stockings aren't popular enough for print shops to offer them. The only way getting those done would be hiring a factory and this isn't an option unless you can sell thousands.

Try to keep it /cgl/ related.
>been chubby for a while
>run a cosplay page for myself so i'm used to dumbass comments
>negative comments on my weight never really bothered me
>want to cosplay a bunch of characters that show midriff so decide to lose weight- hoping for a flat tummy by summer
>losing weight now by eating smaller portions and working out more
>now comments on my weight just piss me the hell off
"did you lose weight? you look prettier anon!"
"wow, you're kinda chubby, if you lost weight you'd look so much better"
"lmao are you pregnant? gross!"
someone even linked me a photo of me when I first started cosplaying and said "you were so pretty here, you should get at this weight again" ....in that photo I was malnourished..
I don't know what it is about losing weight that makes the comments feel a lot worse. I'm trying my best and it makes me feel like all my hard work is for nothing
>making Panty's gun
>finish the paper template
>it's a foot too long
How did I even do this? What a digital dummy.
Without beating a dead horse about replicas, let's talk about how to spot them.
I noticed replicas having a higher quality, so it's really hard to spot them.
Let's share some examples on how to spot certain replicas, like mismatched lace, washed out prints or cut-off borders.
Everyone always posts this as the example, which is just about the only one I know of that can even pass. With the rest, it's pretty obvious and I have not noticed any new others 'of higher quality' examples, please?
This one you can tell on sight because of the lace, the quality of the bodice ribbon, the skirt gathers and the difference in fullness of the waist bow. If you examine them side by side instead of just seeing one or the other worn, the zippers and lining differ slightly also.
Aside from not being flocky(or so I've heard) the Holy Lantern replica looks pretty 'decent'?
All questions go here for anything!
So I am planning a Nana Komatsu cosplay with a friend who is going to be Nana Osaki. Hachi wears lots of different outfits throughout the series, tending to gear towards modern 50s inspired clothing. She has a lot of very detailed clothes with lots of patterns and then some very simple clothes. Im going for simple. I was curious about what this layout looks like so far. She's known for not matching pinks in the series, so not all my pinks match for that purpose. Im kind of sticking to pink, white, and gold with pearl and gold accents for jewelry. I didn't add in bracelets and stuff because I figured thats self explanatory.
Any critique would be greatly appreciated!
I really want to get more into Classic

What is otome-kei?
>Japanese for 'maiden'
>Focuses on a feminine and quirky look
>No set rules
>Outfits often use colour popping, interesting print combinations, and contrasting materials
>Generally has a kitsch or twee vibe
>Sometimes overlaps with casual lolita but is still a separate style
Main otome brands:
>Emily Temple Cute/Shirley Temple Cute
Other Suitable Brands*:
>Lolita brands (accessories, legwear, bags, mini skirts, cardigans/boleros)
Suitable Non-Japanese Brands*:
>Hello Bones Jones (Indie)
>Mulberry Chronicles (Indie)
>Peppermint Fox (Indie)
>Sock Dreams, Teja Jamilla
>Melissa Shoes, Bait Footwear, Dkode Shoes, Neosen, Fleuvog
*NB: these brands are not all specifically otome, but sometimes produce suitable items
**NB: Many of these blogs dabble in both lolita and otome or exist in the grey area between the two. There's also varying experience levels.
Sorry to start out the thread so negatively, but is anyone else losing interest in Mulberry Chronicles? It started out really promising, and I still want that mushroom dress, but the new preview pictures of the fox dress show the exact same cut AGAIN. Though that would be forgivable if the prints weren't growing increasingly "blah".
Even this new brooch looks really awkward and uninspired, like if a student was practicing drawing from life and decided to stick one of their sketches on a pin and sell it.
Belgium's most 'prestigious' convention just decided to commit suicide by not allowing people with bags to enter, ANY type of bag unless it's see-through.
Dashcon, take notes.
>they are committing suicide
Your making it sound like it was their descision to do this. If you actually read the post, it's something that the goverment is requiring. Turn on the news and maybe then you can figure out why.

These are from Kera 38, it's not very exciting compared to a bunch of the others, sadly.
