Also, I lost the OP pasta.

Looking to buy a tunic for my saxon character (yay tax refund) as well as a ring belt.
I like the look of pic related but wanted to know if there is a better place to buy from in the US.
>>8964808
Say no to fucking ring belts. They are purely a renfairism. Kult of athena has decent belts that fit the period.
And for cheap, ok stuff, KoA is the best US dealer. If your willing to spend a little more, then actual historic clothing sites like linen garb are the way to go.
still looking for that foam shashka

I'm interested in the marchen ribbon miniskirt! How much are you wanting?
I’ve got a bunch of brand new clothes that have been hanging up in my closet since I bought them because I am a god damn idiot, so I bought from Qutie Land, so it all came in a big ass package five fucking months after I bought it all, and by then I had already given up and bought other clothes to replace them.
If you want to buy something from me but don’t like the price I have listed, by all means, send me an offer. I can take more pics if you want them, don’t be shy. I’m live in Illinois and I’ll calculate shipping to your exact address once you drop me a message.
My feedback: http://www.ebay.com/usr/barnaclerock
1: $66 NWOT Infanta Fruit Pies JSK in wine, size M http://lolibrary.org/apparel/infanta-fruit-pies-jsk
Never tried on, I was supposed to get a small, they sent me a medium, it was visibly too large for me. Cut the tag off the second I unwrapped it because I am much akin to a small spastic child.
2: $140 NWOT R-Series Macaron JSK in pink, fixed size http://lolibrary.org/apparel/r-series-macaron-jsk
Never worn, weirdly, it didn’t have a tag when it came to me.
3: $30 NWT Infanta Fairy Dance Blouse in red, size S http://lolibrary.org/apparel/infanta-fairy-dance-blouse
Never worn. Looks much more like burgundy than bright red like it does in the stock photos.
4: $30 NWT Infanta Princess Sleeve Chiffon Bolero in wine, size M http://lolibrary.org/apparel/infanta-princess-sleeves-chiffon-bolero
Never tried on. Looks significantly darker than it does in stock photos.
5: $40 NIB an*tai*na High Heel Big Ribbon Shoes size 23.5cm, wine red
Worn once indoors for some photos. Surprisingly comfy, at least for standing, never really walked in them. The bottoms look brand new. The left one has a nick at the top of the ribbon loop on the back of the shoe.
6: $45 Orchard Corset black short torso waist trainer
Bought it on sale, they don’t have them on their website anymore. Made for someone with a 69cm waist. Tried on once, given up on immediately.

Just finished making my Zeon pilot helmet. Luckily, the padding added inside makes the helmet look slightly less over-sized. I used an M3 face-shield visor for the visor and was amazed that the shape and curvature of the plastic was a near perfect match. Was about to use the clear plastic from a soda bottle or something but looking through the stuff would've really hurt my eyes.
Paint will come later.
Now on to the actual suit, which should be easy enough.
Working on a tusken raider mask. Currently I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to darken the leather for the mouth.
I have a bunch of leather that's cream colored and I'd rather use it than buy darker leather. I wanna use boot polish maybe but I don't know if that'll darken it permanently.

If you don't have access to a alchohol based leather dye, dilute some brown rit dye and paint it over top and let it dry. This is one I made years ago.
What made you want to pursue Lolita/EGA and at what age did you start?

But what if my grapes are on a diet
>>8972120
I was a 14 year old overweight weeb who dreamed of being kawaii. I stumbled upon lolita while browsing jrock artists. My first inspiration was Kana. I started to look for clothes on ebay, like a fool, and purchased some hideous milk maid outfits and some milanoo tiered replicas. It wasn't until I found egl that I realized there was more than raschel lace and Anna Miller looking dresses. 13 years later, I'm still wearing lolita but for different reasons. I like feeling *uguu kawaii* but my main reason for wearing the fashion is that I love feeling feminine. I'm not very ladylike outside of lolita, and have a reputation of being a tom boy. So when I dress up, I feel like I can satisfy the other part of me that wants to be dainty, delicate, and ladylike.
>>8972120
My obsession with Count Cain and Godchild was definitely where I started. I went through phases where I'd google translate Moitie's website and fawn over Mana when I was in junior high. I didn't end up actually buying anything until I was probably 19.
>>8972140
I think ebay must be where most new Lolita's start. I bought overpriced secondhand bodyline and a DoL replica on there as my first pieces.
New thread.
Please no bitching.

Fuck off.
Lets play a game CGL.
We post pics and try to establish which era of lolita they were taken in.
I'll start.

Like...are you trying to get us to guess the time period of the photo?
Because if so, starting with a photo that has the year on it probably isn't the best idea...
This looks fun! I actually have a bunch of street snaps/coord pics sorted by year saved on my computer (I was going to do some kind of project on lolita throughout the years) so I'll dump some of what I have.

ok
in all fairness though wtf happened at AM?
afaik misako started falling out of favour after the way that she dealt with what happened at AM last year. besides, PT is our one true queen and midori is a prettier lolita model anyways.

Considering doing a cosplay of toy man from the DC animated universe (pic related). I figured the best way to go for the mask would be a buddy silicon mask from CFX (pic in next post)
Before I order it, does anyone have any other suggestions? Would it be viable to try and make something myself, despite having no experience? Or get something commissioned even?
>>8964382
Post in a new thread because didn't see this. Copy/pasted here.
First time cosplayer. Short enough to pull of the best character in Game of Thrones. Totally new to cosplay, can someone help show how I could get/make the robe/overshirt cape thing in the OP?
Thanks!

I've got to unfortunately defile the "how to grill" part already with a binding question: any good binders for bigger cup sizes? I saw the Ultimate whatever on Underworks and a few reviews on there seem to imply it might work, but I'd rather have a few anon experiences.

Who's buying Jewel Marine tomorrow?
This would of been so lovely as a border print. The all over print is just gross.
>>8973912
oh my god, is the detailing on the OP supposed to be a massive shell bra?
Anyway, not getting it. I'd be tempted if the high waist JSK had a tier though
>>8973916
I agree, the actual art is quite nice, but the fact that it's an all over print just makes it look...not good.
