I don't think that's true.

How many people who dropped out are NEETs/minimum wage workers with no future and how many are billionaires?

ITT: Interesting money-making niches

Did you know, that weapon and knife skins for Counter Strike Global Offensive can be worth up to $15 000, real world cash?

There is a whole economy with skins and case keys as currency.

There is a pyramid starting with low tier traders that make next to nothing, followed by traders (like me) who make a substantial amount. I personally make 1500 dollars a month on average.

At the top of the pyramid, there are the owners of jackpot websites. Basically, they are completely unregulated gambling sites, where people put skins into a pot, and the % chance of winning the entire pot depends on the value of your deposit relative to the overall pot value.

The house takes 5% of each pot.

There are people literally making 10-15 million a year by owning these websites.

>>
How do you take 5% of a pot of skins?
>>
>>978654
The way it works is, the people depositing into the pot send the skins from their accounts to a bot account used by the jackpot site. The bot then sends the winner the skins and keeps 5% of it.
>>
>>978656
Huh. I wonder how that 5% is determined. Is it 5% of number of skins deposited? Or 5% of the pot's monetary value?

How low does gold have to get before it's time to buy?

Pretty low now honestly. It's never terrible to spend some money now, if it goes up then you're good, if it goes down then just buy more because it will eventually bounce back.

Man somebody is going to scam the type of person who calls a phone psychic eventually. You may as well be the phone psychic.

What's stopping people from creating a Kickstarter for a nonexistent product (let's say a board game, video game or film, since those are big ones), creating some trailers using faked footage, generating hype online without ever providing a true proof of concept, and then gradually fading out updates post-funding?

It seems people rarely chargeback for Kickstarters as long as they pretend they're still working on them.

It's becoming less viable as lawmakers catch on.

How so? What laws are at play?
>>

I saw an article about someone who went to jail over it, but I can't find it now.

All I know is that kickstarter never promises quality, so just deliver very terribly and legally you're still a free man.

I'm applying for a job where I will be asked behavioral interview questions. Does anyone here have experience with these types of questions? What are some solid answers to the following?:

>Tell me about a time when you worked with difficult team members. What did you do?
>Tell me about a time where you ran into competing work commitments and direction. What did you do?
>Tell me about a time when you were at risk of missing a deadline. What did you do?

How would /biz/ answer some of these questions? Thanks
23 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>977563
you can't figure this out on your own?

I don't think you deserve the job you're applying for.
>>
>>977563
Always have 3-part answers for each question. For example:

One time at band camp we had a new hire who challenged all our methods. I called meeting of staff, brought our new hire's concerns to the attention of everyone and cleared the air resulting in immediately positive actions.
>>
>>977703
Also make sure you say what you learned from that experience. This is where you use the buzzwords.

Because /biz/ posters don't like being reminded that they're autistic. Bloom is far more admirable though; since he started out poor and pathetic, and became succesfull due to hard work and intelligence as well as ruthlessness. Whereas Bateman has a job at his Father's company and has done nothing to earn his position. He only cares about the appearance of being a wall street guy and all his evil acts are for petty reasons, while Bloom does evil in order to advance his place in life.

Hey /biz/,

This is our 4chan Cup Soccer (Football) team. We're not very good. We want to change that.

For better or worse, our team has become a meme, and we need to step back to become winners. We're starting this thread to get your opinions, ideas, and input so that when we play again in a few months, we'll truly represent /biz/ culture and style.

We plan on buying a banner ad and hosting a formal roster/music poll in the coming weeks, but We'd like to hear any opinions or ideas you had before putting them together. Let's get a conversation going, and we can take our time to do this right moving forward.

What does that even mean?

Is there any career in IT/CS that I can do that doesn't revolve around programming? 40/60 credits towards a Network Admin/Security degree and I realized programming is 110% not for me. My b.

So yeah, am I doomed faggot for strongly disliking any sort of programming in this field?
40 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Network admins and ITfaggots don't do any programming.

Maybe some scripting at most.
>>
>>976872
Network admin here, can confirm the job requires no programming.

I script occasionally to make certain parts of my job easier, but 95% of my day is spent in command lines.
>>
>>976872

I have to take Unix/Shell Programming, two C++ courses, and Java. I guess I have to get past the "just do it for the degree" barrier, but I dropped C++ because I hated it.

Also, if you're in Network Security, don't you need to know how to hack? And to understand hacking/counter-hacking measures don't you need to know different programming languages?

TL:DR NEED TO SELL EXPENSIVE TABLE; WHERE CAN I DO IT.
_
Okay, here's the idea:
I got table in pic related.
It's made out of 1600 years old wood with glass additions, it's quite expensive (over 2.000 Euro, about 2.200 $). One of it's kind due to stricture and curves of the wood blah blah. I need to sell it.
I'm from central europe, but aiming at either western part of it or US/Canada.

Where do you think I should potential clients?

I'm going to read every book on economics, finance and business I can find. I'm starting today. What first?
44 posts and 13 images submitted.
>>
The problem you might encounter is that most of the books are just wrong, as economics is not well understood real sciecne like physics or math for example.

Most people who write books are not the best experts.

The best experts who have knowledge 99% economists dont have do not tend to tell their views or write public books.

Look at cohen for example, 7kilos to 25billion in 30 years. He never gives interviews or tell anything about how he sees the markets, economics in general or how he trades.
>>
>>976466
Well what is your goal?

Just accumulation of knowledge?

Yes, you can find some general knowledge in books but even then you often find two economists writing the complete opposite stories of the same subject. It is not very well understood and many people consideres "professionals" often understand the markets just as well as a fucking taxi driver lol. They just follow the flock.
