>Left decent paying Ops Manager job in Mining for study at a mid-level university

Depends on the program and your career goals. Top tier MBA gets you access to certain jobs and companies you would not otherwise have. Shit tier MBAs can be useful if you are stuck in a job where an MBA from anywhere is required to progress.
>>
>>975084
I'm afraid that once I get it my work experience in supply chain management won't mean anything and I'll have this degree but be seen as having no relevant experience in industries other than mining.
>>
>>975091
Was in a low tier management position with nowhere to go unless I got educated. Couldn't see myself juggling full time work and study so I quit and begun full time study. I'm starting to think this was a bad move.

psilocybin mushrooms are the safest, most consistently profitable drug you can sell.

>first, let's get the obvious out of the way: everyone already knows how to get grass; your status as a useless member of society becomes even clearer when you put on the weed-man hat. the mj market is saturated like a bud dipped in hash oil, so there's a very good chance that some smooth-ass puka-bead in your vicinity sells better shit for the lo-lo.

>"harder" drugs will get you more profit than weed or mushrooms (before you get caught), but with that profit comes a huge increase in the amount of risk you've already decided to take. some bumps in the road you may stumble upon:
>being at least partially responsible for death, injury, addiction, trauma, and little colombian kids getting shot in the face
>getting robbed at gun/knifepoint by shitty people
>getting robbed at gunpoint by the shitty government
>getting high off your own supply and becoming an addict
>losing the source of your supply
>constant paranoia as both a cause and effect of success
>constant bullshit from customers whether you're successful or not
>jail
>prison
>incarceration
>the long dick of the law

>if you don't know degree-level chemistry, everything else that isn't mushrooms has the hidden caveat of you not being the producer. when you don't grow your own shit, you're in the uniquely ass-chafing scenario of supplier dependency, which means less money and more risk across the board.

mushroom-growing is capable of being done by pretty much any retard on 4chan. it starts by ordering spores on the internet for "research." incredibly, this is 100% legal in most states and countries, no bullshit qualifications needed. your first grow can cost as little as twenty dollars, and give you about a pound of product. a quick google search will show that if you can spare $50 and made a "b" on your 5th-grade potato science project, you can become your local town's mushroom kingpin. there's even a 1-hr youtube tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=er1i3M-w51E) for anyone on this board who can't read. your first yield could easily be a dry-weight kilo, or $1000 wholesale, much more if you sell by the eighth.

the risk when you sell mushrooms is negligible if you're not a retard. growing emits no heat or light, so it's easily hidden, and no one has ever died from psilocybin, so cops really don't give a shit about you. you can even carry a giant bag of mushrooms openly in public if you don't already look like a dealer. almost all customers will be chill and to a degree, more intelligent and less prone to bullshit than your average xanax or pot user.

plus, you get a pretty much unlimited supply of magic tripping, to be combined with whatever other drug or activity that you enjoy.

it's that simple.
>>
How much money does this shit make?

Do people actually buy a food product to smoke in their bongs?
>>
>>975004
Also how the fuck do you find customers? This doesn't seem easy to get into for consumers so I'd imagine regular users would have someone on speed dial.

How do you advertise your willingness to sell this item?

What would happen if governments made inheritance illegal?

What if, say, instead of paying taxes, governments took everything from you after you died?

Wouldn't this be much more just, socially speaking?

now this might be an odd question but I'm hoping someone in banking or a coin collector might be able to give me an answer

I run a buisiness and I took out two grand AUS, when I got home I re-counted and checked the bills, and I found one has an odd marking
>pic related

it seems actually stamped into the note, there is another on the other side of the note too, same mark but upside-down

I've got no idea what it is, and I can't find any answers online either

I would just ask my bank, but I'd like to know what I've got my hands on first
12 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
my initial guesses

1. it's an anti theft trace, aka a "marked bill". If I've been given one by accident I need to know or I might get mixed up in something

2. it's a in-house mark by the mint or bank to help them sort out things, like every note in a stack gets a stamp.

3. it's a very very good forgery, the mark is there by accident, or to help the forgers keep their fake and real bills separate

4. it is or was a special note for comparing to others for the purpose of quality control or anti-counterfeiting eg. "this is the sixth variation of a $20 that is legitimate"
>>
hate to burst your bubble cause it seems you think you found something pretty special here but im fairly certain its just a stamp put there by most likely a bank or business just to keep count of what they have, look at other bills for other random marks like this i feel like they are fairly common at least for my currency (usd) it seems someones always drawing or stamping it a little bit here or there in some way, like i see black sharpie marks on the side of bills occasionally nothing too special sorry

you might be right, it's just that I handle thousands of dollars in small notes and I've never seen one before

What else would you use for short term trading?

I know full well that it doesn't please anyone to see that some of us, through no fault of their own, are lagging behind those lucky enough to have it just made. So maybe we can all agree that while there are big drawbacks with full blown socialism, a little bit of it may be needed. But when we try the old-fashioned socialistic processes of "robbing Peter to pay Paul", there are still 2 major problems; 1. The taxpayer is never happy that he has to pay for the expenses of another. 2. We are never able to go far enough for those in need. Another point I'd like to make before presenting my solution is that opposite to the popular belief that business functions on capitalistic principals only, and "you get exactly what you paid for", there has been socialism in all areas of our lives including among various clients of a business. For example 4chan has clients who read and write for free while another class of clients called advertisers have to pay for all that. And the ripple effect doesn't stop there as everyone is going to try to recoup their costs from another group of individuals so what we are seeing is a constant demand for free stuff from government and from business, and an ongoing hiking of prices because ventures like 4chan are robbing non-clients to please their clients [immoral, criminal and disgusting]. We all go on because deep down we believe there will come a day that we will discover that magic bullet that is going to bring about equality without penalizing success. Well, I am here to tell you that the day we have all been waiting for is finally here. I would have loved to keep it short, and explain everything here, but unfortunately, as you have read in the above, just setting up the fundamentals of, why Neosocialism is a superior way of accomplishing equality, so I decided (as I was typing this) to refer you to Neosocialism's YouTube channel. Please let me know what you think, and if you have technical knowledge and extra time, help me 4 development.

"no"
>>
>>973970
That entire paragraph could have just been summed up to, "I think that the 1% is there because they are lucky which is why I believe in socialism."

The problem with socialism, is that it drags down the people with the drive to make it to the top on everyone else's shit-tier level.

And no, while there are a few rare examples of multi-millionaires who struck gold, a majority of the time they had a shitty young adult life failing at other projects until something finally worked...something that those with a socialism mindset don't like to think about because they don't embrace failure.

Would you stay with a dead end job that is incredibly boring, no chance for promotion, away from family and close friends...internet access so technically you could keep in touch..for an entire year..

if you knew at the end of that year with all your expenses paid

that you would bank $10k USD?

Day trading is in constant flow.

This is a dead end fucking job... like you would prefer to rip your own eyeballs out than sit in this cubicle any longer...

but in 365 days... you know your bank account is getting a boost of $10k.

That sounds like an absolute waste of time.

Like holy hell, just enlist at that point. You'll get paid better, free college, promotion opportunities, and if you stick with it, a sweet government backed retirement.

They usually contribute to the economy. It's only progressive tax systems and wealth redistribution that makes them unprofitable to the governments budget.

What's the future of agriculture?

I mean the next fifty to a hundred years, and when I say agriculture, I mean the entire world food supply.

Is there going to be a shift to rice? Historically, dried rice sustained large Asian cities in the days before refrigeration. Unlike potatoes, it can be dehydrated easily for transport and storage, and unlike wheat, it requires no special preparation to be made edible. Refigerators still require energy, and non-perishable food is going to gain traction based on efficiency alone.

GMO can only do so much - energy is energy, minerals are minerals. Some kind of super-staple crop, that somehow improves on rice's nutritional profile, would require extra fertilisation. Magnesium's being depleted in the soil, so this super-crop would require magnesium-laced water. And so on. But why not just sell people magnesium-enriched mineral water and save the time and effort? Same goes for most nutrients.

Of course, all this depends on world population. Will it still expand?
18 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Doesn't rice require a massive amount of water to grow, compared to other crops?

I'd think that something like yams/sweet potatoes would be the best choice. They have a lot of bang for the buck, nutritionally speaking and can grow in many more places.
>>
>>971781
Yes. China and India manage, and if they can, I find it difficult to imagine other areas having problems - except the deserts, of course.

Sweet potatoes have too much vitamin A. Eat it twice a day in a normal serving, and you'll get Hypervitaminosis A, which is not pretty.
The body doesn't excrete excess A the way it does excess C. It just hangs around and causes trouble.

Ordinary potatoes would be better. Still,

Really? I've been reading into it, and it seems appealing for me. I'm guessing you do medium frequency trading?

I'm not american so please excuse my english.

I'm a photographer, and a very good one I believe. I spent the last 4 years polishing my craft only to discover that I just forgot to pay attention on how to make money.

Yeah, I know I should find a niche, find clients and just shoot. But that's not what I want to do for the rest of my life.

So initially my plan is to associate with another fellow (very talented photographer) and focus on the advertising niche (where the money really is, but also the competition).

Second, start a blog to give back. I found that most of the blogs about photography here in my country (and pretty much all over the world) are just "5 things you should never say to a client", "3 things that will make your photos a lot better", and that's just BULLSHIT. I fucking hate that shit.

My plan is to start a non-bullshit blog that really teaches about every aspect of the craft in every step of the path (I was an assistant for many years).

So, these are 2 of the pillars. And I believe they complement each other. My portfolio will give some credit to the blog, specially in the beginning, and the blog will bring some attention to my portifolio giving me some more to put on the table when prospecting in some agencies.

Eventually, I plan to have a good base of followers and a nice mail list.

So my plan is to sell to them.

Initially workshops, one-on-ones, maybe some video courses. But in the long run I plan to review some equipments and start to import and sell with some e-commerce structure.

So, this configures the third part of the pillar.

Active work as a photographer, a base of readers/clients for the blog and eventually a store. They all complement nicely each other.

I don't plan to get rich doing this (but you never know), I just want to have some money left so I can invest the shit / seek bigger opportunities.

So, what's wrong with my plan?
I'm seeking some real advice.

ps: in the picture a book that really changed my life.

You're obviously thinking small.

Not in the editorial world, but when it comes to advertising there is some good money involved.

You could easily charge 10k for a day shooting. Of course there is some pre-plan, meetings and stuff but this not far from reality at all.
