Hey /biz/, would it be feasible to have a small operation selling condoms? The state subsidizes the cost of condoms at my university, making it only $0.10 a condom for brand name varieties. I can buy a limit of $5 each day, but I have enough time to accumulate inventory before I would actually start selling.
I realize the unit costs are much less for manufacturers to wholesale directly to consumers, but I've never met someone who has bought condoms online. I usually see people buying $7.99 3-packs of Trojan at the local convenience store, so I think there's money to be made.
I'm still figuring out what method would be the best for selling, and am all ears for suggestions.

Is Investment Banking a huge /biz/ and pretty much everywhere meme?
Reading more and more about people's experiences in it, it sounds downright horrible and just doesn't seem like it pays off for the amount of work put in.
>Need to get accepted to target school for IB
>Need to work your ass off in college to get top 5-10% of class
>Need to do hella extracurriculars, network like crazy and get a good internship or two
>5 or so people might be picked from your school for IB(quite competitive)
>THEN YOU GET TO CÜCKSTREET, I mean Wallstreet
>Huge pressure, need to take cocaine and adderall and 500mg of caffeine just to get through each day
>Working 80+hrs/week
>No time for anything else
>Health quickly deteriorating
>ON TOP OF THAT, you're earning like $15/hr when you account for hours worked
>Very few people get much farther on the Wallstreet foodchain, almost guaranteed to burn out within a year or two at the most
Seems like a huge meme, incredibly tiny chance to even break into Investment Banking, if you do you work like fucking crazy and likely burn out just to earn a pitiful salary.

And the worst part is just how hard you to work to get into it... It makes no sense.
Literally breaking your balls to get into target school, then breaking your balls ONCE AGAIN to get top of class just to have a chance of being one of 5 people to get into IB.
Why is there such an emphasis on this board and other University forums that investment banking is the be-all and end-all of careers? When realistically you have to be the smartest/hardworking of all to even get a chance to get there?

Because the type of people that want to do I-banking (or big law or consulting) are the ones who are very fixated on prestige. And prestige only exists in the heads of other people, so they spend a lot of time re-affirming their life choices by making sure other people know that it's awesome.

On me: 24 year old college dropout. Make around $12,000 a month selling timeshare.

It's about 6 acres waterfront off a river. About 4 acres is wooded/tall grass. The rest has been cleared for a house site. Just a dirt road with no buildings. It's mostly flat. It's zoned for residential and recreational.

It's also pretty remote. All of the lots on the road are 4+ acres. But gas/electric lines runs through the neighborhood already as well as Comcast cable so it's not too innawoods. About 15 minutes from Williamsburg, VA

I'm a sophomore in Computer Engineering, so I haven't begun my specialized courses very much. Thing is, I'm worried about market saturation and I'm more interested in software development (as I figure microprocessors really come down on Electrical Engineers more than computer engineers). I'm intending to start my internships this summer, but I'm considering jumping ship to biomedical engineering and just going after learning programming and software myself. Is this feasible?
My dream job is neuroprosthetics R&D

Working on a kanban system myself right now actually, intended to be part of a personal project management / productivity system.
Interfaces with my todo list text file and a handful of scripts.
The dream is for it to automatically allocate daily tasks and assess the end-of-day outcome to better gauge risk associated with assigning certain tasks / combinations in a given time frame.
Can't see any market viability in such a product though. NIH and reinventing the wheel ain't sexy.
