I got accepted into Laurier uni
it's a uni far away from my place. My parents can afford the tuition but not the residence costs and they are actually willing to move to the area (it's in waterloo, a ghost town) so they don't have to pay for my res.
Res is a place where you get to develop your social skills and distance yourself from becoming NEET, my worst nightmare. But my parents don't want that.
I talked to them about OSAP and but they still don't want it. In my opinion, the benefits weigh out the debt by a long shot. I get to socialize and network more and actually learn life skills and goals.
I understand where they are coming from though it makes sense, but I will be living my 20's in my parents house missing out on the years I'll never get back just because I wanted to avoid a 30k debt.
What do you guys think about this? How can I convince them?

You can easily net $20k a year canadian after taxes working just part time, or full time for 6 months of the year. (4 months off, 2 months breaks).

Living on res won't magically make you not autistic. It'll make it easier to be social but either way you'll make most of your friends in classes. Save money and just work on your social skills, there's plenty of people who live off campus at university and make friends/go to parties. You just have to accept that you won't be able to party every single night.
There's also a lot of shitty parts about res. Bad food, sharing bathrooms, no privacy, potentially forced to be around annoying people 24/7.

I'm in south Florida doing odd jobs on yachts. I can't seem to find a job on a yacht permanently. Should I got to Texas A&M Maritime Academy. I can pay out of pocket for two years.

I have around 50 scrap vehicles, 150 scrap auto batteries, 50 catalytic converters, 100 aluminum rims, I had been attempting to run a salvage parts business the last few years but I never could keep enough money to buy more inventory and never sold enough parts to make it worth while, the scrap metal market has went to hell the last few months so simply crushing them isn't an option right now...I have been trying to figure out what type of business I could squeeze out of what I have already...any ideals would be great.

Friends, girls I've been intimate with, girls I've met outside, girls I met on tinder or online. Girls are willing to get pictures of their feet taken or take pictures of them and send it to you. They're also all surprisingly cool with having their feet kissed. The only girls I've met that had a problem with it literally had foot phobias that hated their feet or were ashamed of their feet.
Anyway, I wish I had started this earlier. I wish I started asking women on the street to let me record or take pictures of their feet from a young age. Especially when I was a little kid, because I know if I had started then I'd have literally 1000's of videos and pictures by now. It's because I realize even if I did candid shots like realbaresoles. I'd have tons of cash right now selling it on clips4sale like he and the others do.
I just can't believe that there was actually a market for this.

Buying a new car on the down low. What's the best way?
I've thought about getting a personal loan to front the cash on the spot and converting it to an auto loan. Would this work?
A personal loan would give me the available cash on hand - more leverage - with no hoops to jump through with a sales person. While converting it to an auto loan will give me the low interest.

Get a car loan from a credit union
Once you find out how much you can be approved for find out what you can get for that. Either buy from a private party or go to a dealership and find the car you want. If you go to a dealership and you start talking price tell them you're approved for x amount (price you're willing to pay whether it's the full loan amount or not). They'll most likely try to get you to apply for one of their shitty loans but don't do it. If they try to say they don't want to deal with getting the money from your credit union it's BS. They literally get handed a check so it's like you're paying cash to them.

Seriously, check out craigslist non-stop for work, and have a portfolio ready. Check out thumbtack.com, I've got photo gigs that way, and also check out fiverr.com, I think they allow people to work for them on there, and they get a lot of clients flowing through there.
