Forget about culturally and politically, leave that to pol.
What will be the ramifications of importing hundreds of thousands of unskilled migrants who do not speak the local language?
Will this cheap labour be good for the economy?
Or will the expenses associated with housing them, teaching them, feeding them, and having to wait years until they are eligible to work be damaging for EU economies?

i live in berlin. there is a HUGE industry here based around exploiting people who live on welfare. they are neither client nor vendor, they are simply the 'ressource' being moved around in a business transaction. it's highly unethical and part of what makes it work is the bureocratic nightmare that is germany, even for unskilled german citizens. for immigrants with little english and no german skills, it's an absolute nightmare. they are completely powerless.
basically private companies offer 'courses' which supposedly increase welfare recipients employability. they sell the courses to the german state, who requires that welfare recipients participate in them, else they get denied welfare. the courses are absurdly low level, and nobody learns a fucking thing (most people don't even know english or german, but still go and sign the piece of paper confirming their participation, just so their families keep getting welfare. everyone knows it's total shit, the business takes places in upscale offices between government officials and the owners of these 'education for adults' businesses.
it's super exploitative as i said a million times already.

I find it funny how there are still absolutely no scientific studies on the immigration crisis.
Nobody knows the structure of immigration wave, how many of those immigrants know english, percentage of nationalities, how many money they have and stuff like that.
Basically its one big unknown, but politics and people act like immigrants are one homogenous mass and spout bullshit theories about them.
Its all speculation and no facts when it comes to debates about the immigration crisis.

we don't have complete data but it seems safe to say the syrians (making up a large majority of refugees at the moment) are not well-educated and likely have poor english/german skills, given lack of schooling and low hdi of syria

What is the god-tier career path in terms of gaining wealth? Is investment banking the top choice?
Sucking X dicks for Y money. The dick market is apparently very strong right now.
>>1013362
Why do you want to accumulate all that wealth if you won't even have time to spend it?
We're talking 70-100 hour work weeks, six days per week minimum.
I'd personally rather make less money and have more free time.
>>1013368
True. What other careers would you recommend?
Sup /biz/raelis
I'm 19 with 6 months credit history but was accepted for an Amex platinum everyday cashback card, which gives me 5% cashback on up to £2000 spending in the first three months.
I'm /frugal/ so that normally wouldn't be possible for me, so I was wondering if /biz/ had any advice to utilise this offer without actually spending much. I'm using it at every opportunity and even buying things for other people on it in return for cash, but I won't make it unless I do something
Pls respond.
How can I spend money on credit for cashback and profit?
>help /biz/ how do I play into the banks hands to be a wagecuck my whole life
>>1013326
I don't see how I'm doing that at all. I'm just using it for everyday expenditure. It's a free card so I pay nothing. Credit > Debit > Cash anyway.
I've never paid interest. There would be no real economy if everybody was like me.
What's your problem?
Hey /biz/.
I currently have 10k invested in S&P 500 ETF, but I was wondering, isn't it better to invest those in a 3x bull S&P 500 ETF ?
Why not ?
I'm in for the long term. Wouldn't it be more profitable ?
What would it take for me to lose everything, -100% of the said ETF or -100% on the S&P ?
Let's say S&P loses 10%, I'll lose 30%, right?
I can assume that risk, would BTFD.
Thank you.
>>1013307
What I don't understand is, let's say if I bought SPXL at 25, as of today I would be profitable over the long term, right ?
>>1013309
Leveraged ETFs experience decay, i think.
So, if the s&p stagnated for a while your ETF would just go down. The only way you would experience long term gains is if the S&P was in a consistent uptrend.
Leveraged ETFs are not traditionally used for long term investing. They're more for swing trading or even intra day trading.

"So, if the s&p stagnated for a while your ETF would just go down. The only way you would experience long term gains is if the S&P was in a consistent uptrend. "
Isn't it an opportunity to buy more considering SP is heading for 2700, 3000?
Would /biz/ consider getting a law degree from a university a good investment? (In Australia )
Becoming a lawyer in any country, besides America, is stupid already. Trust me. I'm American.
>>1013648
Dumbass idea here too. Markets saturated
No. The law field is enornously saturated and unlike some other fields, law can really only get you into a handful of jobs (tax law, corp law, criminal etc.) Unlike some other degrees that might have a lot more applications. If you really wanna do law or be a lawyer then go for it but if it isnt your passion probably do something else.
Am looking for some of your input / stories.
After Years and years of betting/spending i found that the most profitable and somehow steady way to make a profit from betting is by playing single games (1 bet at a time) and betting 5% of your total wallet.
i've been doing that for 2 years now and its pretty profitable and steady.
Study the matches the odds the news and everything, then find your bet. Usualy the odd am looking for has to be above 1.70 and most of the times is around 2.00 so you double your initial investment.
Of course there is nothing 100% like in every other industry... but there are many things u can minimize your risk, and actually profit from every day.
What are your inputs and stories

How the fuck do I write a resume and get a job?
>22
>GED
>took 2 semesters of community college just to get free financial aid grant money (failed all of the classes)
>only work experience is trading for a prop firm for 6 months and sucking dick at it then getting fired for making a your mom comment in the trade chat
I can't get a fucking job and I'm tired of being a NEET. Failed a McDonald's interview. Failed a Wal-Mart interview. Temp agencies never call me back. Holy fuck writing this is pissing me off I'm such a fucking failure.
>>1013193
>He failed fucking community college
How retarded are you? Oh wait you're extremely retarded because you can't even figure out how to write a resume or pass an interview.
>>1013198
No fucking shit dude. Did you major in Captain Obvious studies or are you just as retarded as me?
If you're such a retard how did you get the prop trading job?
Sidegig General
We all know one of the best ways to build wealth is to have multiple sources of income.
I'm starting a sidegig polishing cars out of my garage for $200-$300 a piece
I also work at a bar at night on the weekends, which brings in $200 at least a night.
Post your sidegigs or sidegig ideas. no dicksucking pls.
People pay you 2-$300 for a car polishing? That's an insane chunk of change for something that many people get for $10.00 at a local car wash.
>>1013094
He's not talking about a little spray and wax polish, he's probably doing a very good and extravagant job to be able to charge $300. He probably spends 10 hours on each car.
>>1013094
>>1013097
^this guy is right
A proper cut and polish with prep work takes 6-10 hours depending on the car (paint condition, size etc)

If you know nothing I would seek some professional help, don't trust anyone in 4chan more than you would a professional investor that knows every in and out of the business
Mutual funds.
You want to be successful and achieve financial independence, don't you?
Tell me, why do you spend your time on 4chan, and more importantly why are you here right now? You know this website is the antithesis of success, right?
>>1013006
>Tell me, why do you spend your time on 4chan
Its very comforting to know that there are others like me
>>1013006
>You want to be successful and achieve financial independence, don't you?
Yes, but it's too much work and unlikely to happen. I'd probably kill myself before i reached that stage anyway.
Waste of time. I have no capital, skills or connections, and i can't be bothered gambling on the small chance that it's possible.
There's also the fact of why i would want financial independence in the first place. I want it so i don't have to work, but i have to work to get it, so it seems like it would just be going round in a circle, chasing something that's not really possible.
Success is having the time and money to do the things you want.
I want to be on 4chan from time to time, so in that way, I am successful.
Thoughts on/experiences with the Schulich School of Business ?
Top 3/4 tied with Laurier, Queens, IVEY top 1/2.
It's a good school, go if you get in, their iBBA is very interesting, a few of my friends went, you'd love it.
>>1013025
>Top 3/4 tied with Laurier, Queens, IVEY top 1/2.
When did Laurier get that good? The more I read about their BBA program the more I think it's underrated.
>>1013030
Laurier has always been good but everyone brushed it off, but since it's been partnering with Waterloo on many programs offered, it's been getting more well known internationally.
Schulich's BBA is great, but their iBBA is what really shines. You get to go on these amazing months long excursions to Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and meet all of these top executives, pitch them business ideas, and eat lunch with them, as well as see all of these great places. If you're one of those people, like most people in Canada, you've probably never travelled out of Ontario, let alone to the US border. So, it's something like, getting to travel the world, while learning business in many different countries, and applying that same knowledge here, in Canada.
I'm pretty sure Laurier also offers an International program, might be wrong though and it might be with Waterloo, but Schulichs international program is unbeatable to tell you the truth, they are so well known in Malaysia and Singapore, arguably the business hub of South East Asia.
Check out some pictures some of the iBBA grads posted on their Facebooks and Twitters and I'd bet theres some YouTube videos about it, there's a lot of things you get, that you won't get in a classroom no matter where you go.
Hello guys, do you know Etoro ? I'm a bit lost, needless to say that i don't know anything about trading.
It's shit.
>>1013347
Why ?

>tfw you realize that you shouldn't have majored in CS

My question to /biz/ : what (perhaps obscure) freelance skill can be acquired through self-education ?
What I mean is, other than the obvious ones like web design, stuff that Indians already excel in
What other perhaps more obscure skills are there that can be done freelance over the internet ?
Something that ideally doesn't require 10 years of experience and can be self-taught
I'm looking to develop a skill that ideally can be self-taught (but not necessarily) and isn't too mainstream like web programming or blog writing
Any ideas, anything ?
Bonus points to someone who recommends something that won't be automated by artificial intelligence in hte next 10 years

There is still a business in Journalism. It might not be apparent to you immediately, but if you can simultaneously report on local affairs while delivering a unique viewpoint on national and international news you can deliver great results.
The thing is too, you have a pretty captive base of writers on a site like this who would be willing to work for what amounts to a by-line and a minimal stipend.
>>1012306
Very interesting idea, thank you.
Unfortunately I live in a small European country nobody cares about so I doubt there is interest in our local events.
How much net income in a year can you expect if you own one of these? (excluding the ship's cost). For example, a carrier with 50'000 cubic meters.
