Hey /adv/, how many of you live in Oregon? I've been thinking of moving there after college and was just curious as to what it's like. I've heard they have strange laws, but not much specifics. Would you recommend living there? What are some pros and cons?

Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm just being stupidly anxious about nothing, but I need /adv/ to slap me in the face about it. My roommate smokes pot like a fucking chimney in our bathroom almost everyday. It does have an exhaust fan, closes the door, and he runs the shower when he does it because he knows I don't smoke.
I got a job offer and I have to do a urine drug test, and I'm stupidly concerned that somehow the trace amounts of stuff will be in system from our bathroom. I've been home with my parents for 5 days and doing the test here.
Am I just being an stupid anxious faggot or is there real worry here?

I feel lost in life. I graduated from college last year, good GPA in a good degree. I got laid off from my first job (that I held all through college) in November and got my first salary job in January. This place fucking sucks. They can't do anything right, but it's all I could find because I live in a rural area.
I have to wake up early and I feel exhausted all through the day; I'm not a morning person. I only have a few hours at home before I have to go to bed and do it all over again, and I'm too tired to enjoy anything. I can't focus on anything anymore, like I have ADHD or something. This job honestly just sucks the joy out of everything.
My fiance is moving across the country to go to grad school. I'm looking for work out there now but I feel hopeless I'll ever find anything, like I might as well say goodbye when she moves because I'll never have the means to follow.
I don't know what to do. I don't know how to solve these problems. I don't know how to feel better.

Shes beautiful, kind and sweet, she really is great... but I havent felt the spark much. We have had problems at the beggining of the relationship but I wasnt brave enough to end it there. Now we are much closer, I just have been kind of numb.
We have bounded a lot actually, I know her family and she has met part of my family also. We have even lived together for a while recently. I dont want to leave her but I think I should. I can do better a part of me says but its not about that. Its because I don't know if we can continue our relationship this way or if its fair for us to continue since I dont feel that spark.
To make it worse, she has told me that in a dream I yelled at her that I dont have feelings for her. But we dont want to end this relationship, we both feel comfortable and scared about getting hurt.

I'm a Senior in high school and I have a very good ACT score (31) and can go to pretty much any college in my state (KY) for free.
The problem is I don't know what I want to do, I'd love to be a detective yet I'm colorblind. I'm really interested in finance and the stocks, I loved history and wanted to be an Archeologist but not really anymore. Most Important of all I want to be happy and very wealthy.

Best way to narrow down choices is to talk to people in fields that youre interested in, take classes, volunteer, and get internships/part-time jobs. If one of the schools offering you a free ride is really good in that field, take that school. If none are especially great in that field, or if you can't decide on a field at all, then you could go for the most broadly-good school (but bear in mind that there WILL be some time pressure), or fall back on the community-college option.

Ever since I was 16 I started thinking about death and the nothingness that will follow. I started thinking about the time before my birth, of course you don't exist and that period is absolute blank in your mind. I know that most people get over it, but I can't. If I start thinking about too much, imagining that last moment of life before I forget everything, before I just disappear makes my heart race. I start questioning life itself, why do we live, is there a purpose if it's all the same after you die? We are just complex chemical reactions, consciousness is just a property. There is no meaning to this world, even the Universe will disappear.
What do I do? This is actually damaging the quality of my life.

So I was in study hall and I had to take a crap, I goto the bathroom and the normal stall is broke. Great. I go in the disabled stall which is pretty big. Anyway I heard the door open and I moan. I think nothing of it as I see this kids head pop under the door and says "hellooo." I'm thinking wtf then he slides him self under the door complely, I quickly pull my pants up and try to get out. This kid I now know is retarded. He grabs my arm and says "no fight, okayyy?" He grabs my arm and starts soflty hitting me with the other. 1. What is the appropriate number of business days to wait before you call asking about the status of a job application?
2. What is the appropriate number of calls and e-mails to send before completely giving up on said job?
Note: I don't mean general calls and e-mails, I mean targetted calls to the actual human beings who post these job listings. A lot of them are in LinkedIn so I can find their phone numbers pretty easily, or if not that I'll just call the front desk and ask to be forwarded. I know that if I just put my stuff into some faceless ATS that I'm basically playing the lottery in regards to call backs so I stopped bothering to follow up on those.

I've already given up on getting e-mail responses and even LinkedIn messages so I'm just focused on phone calls.
In this case I am referring to jobs on linkedin where you can see who posted the job listing, and jobs on other sites where contact information is included, so they haven't said when they'll be in touch.

Alright. I had an interview 2 weeks ago and the dude said he will contact everybody in 2 weeks. He did not contact me yet. I want to seem like I'm the creme of the crop here ya hear me. How should I send an email to this dude saying. "Hey! Hey you! Yeah you in the suit! C'mere! I said c'mere.You gonna hire me dude? You gonna hire me motherfucker?".
It's possible the dude said he was gonna contact everybody at the end of this week. All I remember is he said 2 weeks.
