What would you have done if someone hit your dog with a leash the dog park? My gf is telling me I acted irrational because I let it go and made her stop when she was starting to yell at the person.
Quick backstory, well not very quick, obviously, lol. We have a Aussie that we take to the same dog park almost every day, no problems other than the occasional fight that every dog gets into every now and then. She has 3 forms, super happy puppy playfulness, her herding mode (a lot of running and barking, no biting but the occasional nip), and her aggressive mode where she bares her teeth and barks a deep bark (all of these are very distinguishable to anyone remotely familiar with dogs). Well today a new lady had her dog at the park. My gf, my dog, the lady's dog, and I, were on one side of the park while the lady was on the completely other side. Our dog was in herding mode and running laps around the lady's dog. While trying to get my dogs attention and have her leave the dog alone, the lady runs up, grabs her dog, and as my dog got closer to them the lady lashed out with her leash and hit our dog with the metal clip. Our dog was fine, didn't even yelp, just walked away. At this point my gf becomes livid while I just look at the lady smiling and shaking my head. The lady leaves but my gf tries to follow her while yelling behind her. I pull her back and tell her to let it go, which is where the small argument started.

My day wouldve been basically ruined but im not going to follow them around screaming at them. Whats done is done, they removed themselves from the scene so its over.
However, if they didnt fuck off and escalated the situation, or like kicked my dog and hurt it and made it yelp, i would have blacked out and knocked them the fuck out and proceeded to turn their nose into jelly. All that said - i dont think your gf over reacted. She had every right to be absolutely furious. You did the right thing by pulling her back. Neither of you is in the wrong here. If this turned into a fight between you and your gf, step back and tell her she did the right thing (because she did) and that you didnt want to see her fuck up that lady and risk going to jail over some idiot. Let her have her victory without puttinf any fault on yourself. And remind her that you guys shouldnt be upset at eachother over the actions of some random cunt lady. And then proceed to have furious make up sex.

I told her if I'm not here she can find a husband to marry but she said she doesn't want a husband.
We had an argument and I made my mom cry. I told her my reasoning for wanting to leave and she made me feel bad for abandoning her for women I don't even know. I felt like a complete piece of shit.
I don't know what to do. I love my mom, I don't want her to be sad. I want her to be happy but to her it seems being happy is being with me. I don't hate living with my mom, I love her a lot and it's not like she does nothing. She cooks for me and does all my chores, I can't dislike that but I feel like I should be able to move on eventually. Isn't that fair? Do you think there's a compromise somewhere here?
